Howdy Sleez!!!..No,I haven't seen him in years!!Mostly semi-mean women tend bar there now...Got bought by a Contractor last year and was going to be bulldozed down.now HE'S become a biker and has saved the place and is adding to the menu!!! Hundreds of bikes at least every, Sat. and Sun. and tons of looky lews!!Oh and its the show-off place for all KINDS of one offs!! | ||

Yeah,yeah Dino...my problem is no TIME to post,unlike our self employed brethren out there!!Hey,I just traded out my old stuff for a 3021 Bogen and a 488 ball head and picked up this COOL Mono....688?Has the 3 little legs that pop out of bottom so the monopod will stand on its own to change film(cards)!!My old stuff was slipping with the 100-400L and was scaring me!I'll post some more later of Pages ride Sunday... Ebear...great photos! Ebear and I spent Sunday tooling around OC, hitting some back roads, having lunch, going to Berts Mega Mall (and it is huge..take a Kmart sized store and fill it with a ton of motorcycles, boats, dirt bikes, and related clothing) in Azusa to bother salespeople, hook up with with some friends, and U got a great day!  | ||

EBear- My new office is actually in Huntington Beach (on Beach) but my Brother lives in Yorba off of Weir Canyon, so I go to his house in the morning and we drive in together. Is the Knowlwoods off of Imperial the one where we are doing the SCAB meetings now? | ||

How about Black's Beach or at least San Onofre at the Pendleton Fence?  God, I miss living in OC. I just finished plowing the driveway a few minutes ago. Grrrrr!!! | ||

But, I feel compelled to warn you, MOST the nude sunbathers were folks about my current vintage, oft times profs at UCSD. Draw yourself a mental pic of Road Thing and I, sprawled buck naked on towels basking in the La Jolla sunshine. Now?....still interested in climbing down all those rocks? Court P.S. - from my vantage point in the Coronado Shores Condos (the towers just south of the Hotel Del) I had a far better view of the visiting tourists. | ||

Used to hit San Onofre quite a bit, but he funniest stories are about to be revealed... At the San Onofre/Pendleton fence, when the Sheriff would show up the nudies would simply walk around the fence to the Pendleton side and vice versa when the Marines showed up. All was well until one day the Sheriff and the Marines did a coordinated operation and everyone got busted. That was a glorious day for me as after I bailed out my roomy and her girl friends, they all decided to go private and do their nude sunbathing around my pool or in the ocean on my boat. Man, that was like recess in heaven except for my self imposed do not touch policy. I wanted the rent money and wasn't about to take it out in trade. However, they sure were fun to party with!!! | ||

I wish my old man would stop calling me from out there telling me about how great the weather is. I grew up around OC and my old man still lives there, so he feels like he is obligated to call me in the dead of winter to tell me about riding to work and taking bike trips. Since leaving OC I've lived in Southcentral Kansas, Northcentral Kansas, Chicago and now I'm in Kansas City Missouri. I really wish the job market hadn't sucked so bad in SoCal when I graduated from college in May of 2003. Oh well, I'm stacking up experience on my resume so that I can make enough money to survive out there when the time is right. Another year or two at my current job and finishing up my MBA should give me just about everything I need to be able to move back home. | ||

Sorry man, but the weather is terrible here. It can kill ya! It threatened to rain yesterday morning, then it warmed up to about 58 degrees. Today it's supposed to warm up to 58 again after a low of 40. A week ago we had grass fires from the 85 degree Santa Ana's. You should stay where you are and enjoy 'real weather'. (jest kidding) |
