Hey Dana, i kinda doubt you will see it on Buells web site, seems some folks at HD dont feel this is a Correct date, so it may not be allowed, this is the unfortunate thing about being owned by such a large company, but on the flip side, if corporate sees whats up, and whats going on by such a samll number, well it may turn some heads(even more) and help Brag grow and become a bigger item in HDS eyes than it is now, this will help, and dont be suprised if its helps a lot, as far as bring more people to see what can be done at our level Roger | ||

HD feels that Buell as a company starts after the RW750, ie they akin the aniversary date closer to the start of the motorcycle company, not the start of when Mr. Buell was making bikes, it is to say odd, because the HD date for 100th is the start of the 3 brothers in a garage, but it seems they feel the date is a little later than ours, it is of course there choice, but again they need to be shown that buell is as important to them as HD's(at least for the long term) and i think this gathering goes a long way to showing them, if they decide to show interest, which i think they will Roger | ||

Grnd why do think HD does not think Buell is 20 years old? The official BRAG magazine FUELL has run three issues celbrating Buell's 20th anniversary. The Motor Company had certainly planned NOT having any sort of gathering or public celebration. (Understandably as far as I am concerned. The primary reason is that everyone involved in special events is beyond maxed out with the 100th party. The second reason is that they do not want to dilute the 100th.) The owners forced their hand, not for the first time either. | ||

Because thats what an individual who will remain nameless and works for HD specifically told me, and before anyone jumps on that there were other people who will remain nameless who were there, you may choose to belive this or not, but i have no reason to lie on this board As far as the Fuell magazine, were those articles regarding 20 yrs of Buell or 20 years of Eric Buell, they are very different, in some eyes(ie would HD, want to be linked to a square 4 2 stroke???)Remeber this a 20 year birthday, with a presentation for Eric, not a celebration of 20 years of Buell Motorcycle Company, but again you may decide to belive it or not but i have no desire to start some flamming war, just posting observations Roger | ||

H-D agreeing or not, my ass will be in East Troy on August 20th, on a bike with Buell written on the tank. Official or not, 100 guys showing up in East Troy with a big ass card will turn some heads. | ||

Actually Dyna there expecting 60,000 a day for thurs, fri, and sat, just at the hog tent, so 100K is way short of whats going to be there, try 250k to 350k, but thats a guess Roger |
