Excellent Job Mike, My ride started as an adventure in July after the Atlantic Regional HOG Rally in Halifax, Nova Scotia. I was going to go as far as Detroit to party and evening or two with Spidey and da boys. After talking to my wonderful, most beautiful better half (wife) she has allowed me to leave for a two week period to travel to East Troy to attend this event. Therefore, I am inviting anyone who wants to meet me for my cross Canada run. The ride back is another adventure that started when I did not want to ride the same route back. Its not very often I get off the rock with the S1 and seeing I never saw the Great Lakes Region before it seems like a good way to head home. This is where Charlotte has planned some of the trip back. Hell if I enjoy it I may be back the following year with the whole damm family in the Windstar. Quite frankly, I can't wait to leave - despite some on here that think I will require surgery after riding a S1 halfways across the continent. Unless something really freaky happens I am there. |

Ooops I must take too long to type my thoughts. It seems the rest of world is quicker to the draw than me (not to mention my phone rings every 30 seconds). Blake...Thanks for taking care of that!!!! |

"Would you drive halfway across the country for a 2 hour event? " No, but I might coordinate a cross-country ride to coincide with a 2-hour event. It's all a matter of perspective. |

Please, please....no applause. I'm just doing this because I have too much time on my hands (and I had a bad case of cabin fever) |

Blake, Glad to see you finally get on board here. It will give you something else to obsess about besides the War on Iraq. I personally would like to see a route that encompasses back roads AND a police escort. Is not anything over 20 bikes considered for police assistance ? I personally will not ride behind anyone who eats the bean kringle . Maybe put them in the back with a squad car behind them. 1. As far as the GLASS tour around Lakes Michigan, Superior and Huron... I am researching bed and breakfasts up there. No one has expressed any genuine interest 'cept CJ . Mikej I think you are required to join us by laws pertaining to Canadian/American foreign relations. 2.'So long as the guys in the lead dont ride like assholes & try to do 100mph or pulling holeshots on moorland, everyone should be able to pretty much stay together' Dyna, well said. Keep Spidey out of the front of the pack... that kind of 'testosterone impairment' can be dangerous in a crowd... not to mention the volatile Newfie-Spidey effect. Also, thanks you guys for doing all this work. I would not worry about the publicity, because we are 'different' should mean we are not a bunch of yuppie posers that give a s*** what the general population thinks. Rambling now like Mike. Charlotte PS Will have dates, prices and places posted on GLASS by April 1st. WOHOOOOOOO ! |

Blake, Can you post this at the top. It isn't in the info sheet you have posted. Thanks Spidey All BRAG chapters or private chapters such as American Thunder Bike can use 11x17 inch sheets of paper, make sure it is a high grade thick paper. You can put the club name or chapter name at the top and have all the members sign it. For people who do not belong to a chapter you can send me a autographed piece of paper and pictures are more than welcome, this goes for clubs also. These will be due by May 10th 2003. There will be a ride meeting just out side of East Troy at Hal's. If you plan on attending this ride let me know when you send in your signature(s). Please mail these signatures to: Tony Barchock 5415 Cherokee Dearborn Hts, Mi 48125 or Tony Barchock American Harley-Davidson and Buell 5436 Jackson Rd Ann Arbor, Mi 48103 |

Thanks for actually agreeing with me Blake. My point is, the dinner & Battletrax are fine. You definately need something to entice folks to ride here other than a simple card presentation. But I really feel the call for TV coverage is way out of line & possibly asking Buell to cover the costs for posters to be given away is a no no. Its Buells birthday & you want them to cover the costs?? And as for the posters, how are those who ride going to transport them home without damage? Are you going to provide mailing tubes as well?? Come on guys it all goes back to the K.I.S.S principle. Keep it simple stupid. |

MikeJ, you crack me up !!!!!! I could care less about TV coverage myself, just looking forward to getting together for a couple of days with other Buellers and meeting more of the folks who post here !! I would LOVE to have a Buell poster and think that was an excellent idea !!! CJM |

Dyna I don't think anyone has asked BUELL for anything other then coverage in Fuell magazine and BUELL's web sight.I know Dennis,Tony or myself have not done this.Wouldn't be neat to see something on Buell's on let's say Speedvision, hey nothing ventured nothing gained. They did something on Cushman scooters for crying out loud and also did a 5 min deal about the 1999 Buell homecoming on American Thunder. We ain't push'n it but it would be kinda cool though.Maybe your Miss Juggs or Kittens could be on TV. |

Dana, nobody has asked Buell for the money yet, but the question was asked earlier..Anyone have ideas on getting the additional $100? Do you think we can be BMC to fork out the $100? Thats why I responded as such. As far as TV coverage, I really am not interested in the least. I would much rather just ride & hang out at Hooters with Spidey. |

Crusty, If you look carefully through the archives they do not always go in time order. I have noticed that a lot lately with the archives. On my screen right now the March 26, 2003 archive is between the January 21, 03 and January 22, 03 archives. Something screwed up somewhere. Maybe Blake can fix it somehow? |
