Please fix the control characters first if it does get posted at the top, thanks. ;) Otherwise I'm going to show up at Hala's and wonder where everybody is.

Spidey,

Sounds like a good time,

COUNT ME IN

I will be bringing Screech so those who want to become honarary Newfies be prepared. We are particular about this and I will determine who is eligible by sizing up the 'cut of yer jib'.

All I need to complete the ceremony is a fresh codfish or some kind of dead seabird (preferably a Puffin)

Newfie is royalty? Count Mein? I'd have never guessed. ;)

Isn't Screech one of the characters from Welcome Back Kotter?

Codfish, something worn with a tuxedo, right?

It's an old seafarer (seafairer?) term, has to do with how well your sail is cut and stayed, an indication of how good a sailor you are.
I think he's telling everyone to polish up the axle covers.

That would imply I'll be within arms reach. But after he's spent a week on the road, and a waylay in Detroit, and the possibility of him bringing fish with him, I plan to be out of arms reach, and waaaaaaaaaaaaay upwind.

Screech,
Recipies. The Moose Milk actually sounds fairly good, and probably kicks like one too.

Spidey & I both sent out info to Peggy. She's the new BRAG director. It seems she knew about the event but didn't have any details. We should be good to go for Buell.com and the next Fuell.

Things seem to be moving along at a good pace. I'm still a little worried about getting enough sponsor money for the posters. I think we only have $200 committed. We really need another $200 to make these available for free.

Some other thoughts...

1) Traffic control: We had some conversation in the original postings about traffic control. If we have 100+ bikes (hell, if we have 50+ bikes), we'll need some help with traffic. I'm thing some type of police escort. This will probably require us to give a donation to the police departments involved.

2) Tied into the above difficulty, we need to select a route. The easiest way with the least amount of traffic is I-43. I personally hate superslab but it could be the easiest with a large number of bikes.

Anyone have some insights/input?

Thanks,

Dennis

if the choise is superslab, i'd likely find my own way out there . . . .an alternative would be a couple of mapped routes (I'll help) and a kickstand's up time from someplace local

Least likely route to need police escort and still keep people somewhat en-masse:
South on Moorland, southwest on I-43, second EastTroy exit to Buell. Let riders yo-yo within their own limits and as traffic allows.

Medium need for escort:
South on Moorland, southwest on National, into EastTroy and the round-a-bout. Riders will be more spread out but all should arrive within 10-15 minutes of initial to last riders. Biggest lag will be getting out of Hal's parking lot onto Moorland unless we take the back exit and get an officer to trigger the next street street light.

FreeForAll:
Start at Hal's, end at East Troy, be there within an hour of leaving Hal's, rider's choice on route.

If you want to keep it massed then you'll need an escort, or a couple of 400 pounders on Hogs to block intersections. Hey, maybe recruit a few early arrivers for the 100th????? ;)

This can all probably be figured out when it gets a little closer to the event. Maybe cue up a State Patrol or Sheriff department on needs, and then get a rough head count in late July for the actual ride.

Or do what you want, I'm just throwing out some ideas.

I think we only have $200 committed.

It's actually $300, and I'm worried too, open to any suggestions. Getting word out so others outside of Badweb will be a big help, so you don't get a "huh" response from those your asking !!

So then we only need another $102.02 (I'll pitch in the $2.02:)) Anyone have ideas on getting the additional $100? Do you think we can be BMC to fork out the $100?

CJ...Ping me off the board with the names of our 3 sponsors. I'd think we should be able to get at least 1 more from somewhere. Maybe Scott Berry at ATC to help raise some additional funds for this event.

MikeJ...Good input!!!! I was also thinking about the Mooreland to National (Cty ES). The traffic on Mooreland would be the most difficult until East Troy. I'm sure the East Troy PD would help with the round-about. Any idea how many counties we'd go through? I'm thinking only 2 (Waukesha & Walworth).

All...Do we need to get some type of RSVP? I'm worried about the logistics. How much food do we need at Hal's & Uke's? How many bikes will be in this parade? This is making my head hurt or maybe it's too much wine last night.

Back to my paying job:D
