Posted by BadS1..No confusing but the 22nd is the date that spidey lake and myself have had on the table since Uke's was asked to host the send off party.I have talked to are dealer and they are aware of this date and this is when we will do the event so there will be know more confusion. ================================================== Thats the first I have heard of that. Every posting so far has referred to Battletrax on thursday with a send off dinner that night. I made a suggestion to hold a poker run or whatever on fri & have the dinner that night. |

EZ I will need the sigs before that to incorperate them into the book, unless you want to bring everyone with you. I plan On having the "card" done by the first week of August |

Having a 20th Survey is a great idea! My only suggestion is that it might be a good idea to have a deadline for submitting them. You could say, at the top of the page, "Please submit your survey no later than (some date goes here)". That way you could compile the results and create another survey asking more specific questions and still have reasonable time to do all this. Just a suggestion! |

>>>>That way you could compile the results and create another survey asking more specific questions My experience, having done this before, is that trying to acheive a consensus among Buellers is quite difficult. I'd suggest that the local group, with Spider-whatever in concert, compile the surveys (which need to be in by the time Dennis returns from vacation a week from next Monday) and exercise good judgement from there. My bet is, having seen these guys operate, they'll do a quite spectaculicious job. Court |

Dyna like I said earlier the wheels are in motion and we are ironing out some details but yes this was asked of Uke's for the send off.Its in Uke's court right now and Eva is doing what it takes but for now thats all I can say until she is done ironing out the details. But when she does she will either get in touch with Bomber or I and we will post exactly what the dealership plans for us.Please be patient these things take alittle time but I should know soon. |

I hear ya Dana, its just that up to this point everyone has said battletrax on thursday with the dinner that night. Now all of a sudden its 100% up to Eva or whomever to decide? What if the folks who were planning on attending would be leaving friday & couldnt attend? This thing is turning into a bigger clusterfuck than one of Chibeemers GPS lead rides. Seems like everyone for some unknown reason is battling for control..top dog status & some really good ideas & suggestions are being thrown aside. Oh well, I guess me & Mike will hook up with Bill & Roger & just go for a nice long ride instead. |

Ez wrote: "... and the rest of the Bay area has nothing formally " Uh, in my best Court impersonation: That statement would not be entirely true. Contact Rex or others out that way and inquire about the American Sport Bike Night. Not your typical "B.R.A.G." organization, but definitely more than "nothing formal". YMMV. (I'd like to make an ASBN night once at some point in the future.) |

TBolt . . . .as you've likely read, the authorities on this board surpass the condition of living or deadness . . . . out of respect to Prof Ewin Corey (WFLA), I sorta kinda dropped the "L" . . . . all else . . .. Uke's has graciously stepped up to the plate on this one . . . .whether or not there is a B'Trax, or sendoff meal is filet (at Wisconsin, not New York, prices), is, in this person's opinion, irrelevent . . . . kinda like bitching that I invited you to my house and didn't bring out the good scotch, if you know what I mean . . .. . . again, ymmv Far as I know, the only things written in stone are Hal's to East Troy on the 20th, send off gig on the 22nd at Uke's, and lots of churing planning stuff in between . . . .. the plans are firming rapidly, and will be shared with everyone as they become clearer . . .. that said, if there are those who like to work at completing alternate visions of this thing (which, believe me, in no way approaches the rides the Dyna has refered to . . .. I've been there, and I know) are certainly welcome to pitch in . . .. . |

also, I figure as long as I've likely pissed a buncha people off, I'll continue on a similar vein i think it would be good to remember that we'll be arriving at an operating business on the 20th, and most of those folks will have stuff to do . . .we shoudl be concentrating on being good guests, I think . . .. . I'll get out of the grandpa mode . .. thanks for reading |

Sounds like you better stock up on good scotch! Some diet pepsi would be good too! Ride to the edge! Dave PS Planning an event like this is a lot harder than many of you think. Trying to get several different dealers, a factory and a bunch of Buell riders all on the same channel is hard work. I have plenty of faith in the people that have taken charge of this(and yes someone has to take charge) to make it fun for the vast majority. No matter what you plan or do you'll never make everyone completely happy. We should be thanking BadS1(Dana),Joe Boomer,Dennis,Court, Spidey, Uke's and Hal's for their efforts instead of second guessing and being armchair quarterbacks. Just take a deep breath, everything will turn out fine! |
