That was a GREAT day and one of my fondest motorcycling memories. that WAS a great day, Drake, and one of my great riding memories, too. i concur 100% with your words above regarding the bond between riders; it's an amazing thing to behold, and i feel lucky to be a part of it. thanks again for being a part of FBRAT. the KC Mob and KC's Least Wanted, giving Madduck's Uly a group hug in Booneville, Missouri. (Drake, is that you or Shazam giving Racerboy some horns??? ) |

That's better than the other pic of two of us watering the vegetation. Don't know how I got caught up in that. I have to say that was the first time I ground both footpegs, and muffler, and kickstand, and..... trying to keep up with the Buell boys on those curves with my Sportster..... Some day, I'll probably own a CityX and a Touring bike..... and then go back to the Dragon and really twist its tail. |

it's not a "real" ride unless you get a pic of someone answering the call! this is from last Saturday's ride here in SW Virginia: I have to say that was the first time I ground both footpegs, and muffler, and kickstand, and..... trying to keep up with the Buell boys on those curves with my Sportster..... that was totally, entirely, irrefutably 100% Shazam's fault! |

Hey Jerry. If you can't make the Badness, I suggest you and Denise go down to mile marker 248 at Laurel Springs the first weekend of April if the weather is nice. Maybe the weekend after...I don't know the opening date for the season. They have not updated yet. Great place for lunch, whet your whistle within a few miles. It is a biker hangout...mostly HD's. At times, you can see around 2-300 bikes there . www.stationsinn.com |

Twig, thanks for the heads up on Stations Inn. wanted to stop there with the boys during the BRATPAC ride last September, but they didn't want to have anything to do with all the Harleys. good meeting and riding with you last weekend, looking forward to next time. FB |

Nice write-up there Ferris, Now we know why it took so long. I'm still not impressed with the ULY's, and tend to call them oogly's. I'm just not into that type of bike, I guess. Glad to see you and D have finally settled in, and are getting in some ride time. Beautiful area your in, Loved it when I was there last year, don't be surprised if I pull up some day with a grin and an itch to ride the parkway. Thanks for posting your thoughts, good or bad, we all respect your judgement, and like it or not, value your opinions.

Bartimus Maximus! great to hear from you. a little surprised to hear you call it an "Oogly," considering you have at least one of every motorcycle ever made stashed away in several hideouts, plus you looked SO damn sexy on Madduck's bike! still can't believe you rode almost a thousand miles that day just to say hi to us on the way thru! thanks for your words, and your friendship. you know where we are - the garage door's always open, looking forward to our next ride. Ha ha! Don't be surprised if I show up on a TT! Of course, I'd dump those silly number plates on the side, along with that "oogly" front fender, and bolt on a stock XB fender, other than that, I think they actually look pretty good. (you just HAD to post that pic, eh? |

Just to clarify, so Eric will keep you on his Christmas list: I lusted after a ULY even though it was WAY too tall for me to be safe, and I had no money to get a second bike. I would not have bought one for years, but really wanted one. You write-up didn't change that, but allowed my mind to rest in peace. (I'd really like something like an S3T, though.) This was the photo I was referring to. (Hardly my best side) You did get my bike's best side, though

(you just HAD to post that pic, eh?) hey Bart, at least i didn't post a pic of you taking a leak! Just to clarify, so Eric will keep you on his Christmas list: it's Erik. looks like YOU won't be on his Christmas list either... This was the photo I was referring to. (Hardly my best side) so you're saying your OTHER side is your best side??? at least you guys were waving the Buell flag that day (along with everything else...)

Ah yes, another picture of me peeing on a tree... I'll send that to Mom for sure. Ferris, Glad I could be a part of that trip, it was great hanging at the factory (with a major hangover to boot), tooling the roads of Wisconsin with you and Dave pushing me, hanging with Mr. Lansing at the Field of Dreams, Penny toilet papering my bike, Jeff's BBQ and the Warewolves of London at dawn (again) and of course, meeting up with Court's sister and Mr and Mrs German in Topeka. Truly a great trip. To me, though, it doesn't hold a candle to the trip to see Matt, just for the coolness of it all and completing the circle of friendship and brotherhood we've built. We've heard of the Uly, trips and trees... Now let's see a 'Hometown' thread on your new place. I am dying to see it... I've an old house, does it beat mine for age? Baby Bart Big Bart- Hey dood! You keeping out of trouble? |

To me, though, it doesn't hold a candle to the trip to see Matt... Alex, for ONCE i'm gonna take the high road, and instead of digging up that pic that Bart took of you watering the rocks in Utah during your epic Ride Across North America (and North Ecuador...), i'm gonna post one of my fave pix from BRATPAC, of you and Matt: your mothers would be proud of us all. Now let's see a 'Hometown' thread on your new place. I am dying to see it... I've an old house, does it beat mine for age? Alex, this move has BURIED us. this was not easy, and still isn't. we're catching our breath, but there's much to do, including work our asses off working to try and catch up on bills that got neglected during several trips back and forth across the country. the weather has been a factor, too. i know we'll get no sympathy from anyone who is used to real winters, but coming from Cali - the Land of the Year 'Round Ride - has been an adjustment, to be sure. nope, house is much newer than yours, built in '82 or '83 near as we can figure, but, as primarily a weekend mountain retreat it spent much of its life unoccupied, just sitting, and that's hard on a place. we've much to do to get it ready for NEXT winter. which is all to say we ain't been out much! pix to come, one of these days, but right now we're taking care of business. Oh, and shit... I turned 26 today. Scary stuff or what??? congrats Alex, happy Cindo de Marcho!!!
