I won't be able to make the whole weekend, but I am planning to come up and stay the night and do breakfast tomorrow am. Wish I had the fundage to go all the way,but alas it's not there. Will be leaving for The Dome in about 30 mins. Save a spot on the floor 4 me. | ||

Day 1 Update from the Lodge....we stayed up til 2ish AM yesterday...all were up at 6:30 AM today- Lord that was early...we hit the road at 8:30. So far, all is great. The roads are the bomb, the company is the bomb, the weather has been great. I think we have at least 20 bikes, from Buells to Yamahas to Aprilias....Two more days of Oktoberfast is coming! | ||

I met Us66 & T-bear at Caliente yesterday and we twisted the Lions Trail to the Dome. Thats a great road, lots o fun. Great time at the Dome last night. Good food & drink with some great people from all over. Talked about great times, roads, bikes and even each other!  Caught up with the group at the Glennville breakfast this morning to send them off and they all had big smiles already!  The ride's off to a great start. | ||

We found some GREAT roads too here in AZ Today, Took these pics at Mt. Lemmon in Tucson when 4 of us got pulled over, oops 20 over speed limit and passing on double yellow lines. He was cool about it and said it would have been to many tickets to write that would make his hand hurt and let us off with a verbal warning!!!!   | ||

Carey, i guess your leaky gas tank don't leak no more? you should be here. for the REST of you...what a great ride yesterday, with a quality group of riders. i'd call the day epic (which it was), but i still need to use that word some more on the FBRAT threads. am typing from the computer room at Montecito Lodge, one of the coolest places to stay in the world. it's cold, clear, and crisp, and the sun will be peaking up over the Sierra Nevadas here in a few minutes. breakfast shortly thereafter, then some of us are heading out to ride Kings Canyon. this'll be mine and Denise's first time, and we are SO pumped. can't wait 'til pix start being hung, there have been some great ones taken. Corso, wish you and Shel were here. you are in spirit. life is good.  FB&D | ||

Report from the Montecito Lodge...11:40pm PT...had a great ride today  . Ferris took us on some new roads that were the bomb. Even went into a cave for a great tour...Ferris and all have hit the hay. Tomorrow...back to the Dome! Ferris style. | ||

good morning from Montecito! Starbuck's in hand, massive ranch breakfast in about 30 minutes, then we suit up and roll out, south thru Sequoia Nat'l Park, Yokohl Valley Road (again!), then the Mighty 190 and the Western Divide. yesterday, with one notable exception, was stunning, from beginning to end, and Kings Canyon exceeded my expectations. the folks that are here are top drawer, man, woman, and child, and the camaraderie has been an amazing thing. soon enough the pix will start showing up. there have been a ton taken; some some will like, some some will NOT! (  ), but all priceless. that's all for now - i smell bacon... Corso, you and Shel are still here, in our hearts. we'll carve some corners for you today, bud. FB&D | ||

Wow! O'fast 2005 is in the books, and what a great time it was. Great to see old friends like FB & D, Ebear & TBear, Scott (Usroute66), the Lightons, the Reiners...who am I forgetting? Also the new and nearly new faces like Bbstacker, Rr-eater, Duc, Brett, Charlieboy and Elizabeth and at least one other rider whose name escapes me at the moment. Thanks all for a wonderful time. To those who couldn't make it, Pdxs3t and Uni, to name just two...really missed ya! My only regret is that I didn't have a camera along so that could share the fun with the rest of Badweb.  | ||

Jerry, Thanks for the hospitality Friday night and the strongarm offer of more Saturday. Unfortunately, even with the extra day in (near) the books I was still ill-prepared for this test today. Next year it'll just be a job I'm blowing off so I'll be able to stick around longer. Scot, Al, Ebear, Good seeing you all again and riding with you. I really enjoyed hanging out...if only for Friday night festivities and breakfast Saturday morning. I jazzed to hear everyone had a great time. Wish I could have stayed for the whole weekend, but I already budgeted for a hunting trip this month. Look out, Bambi.  You're payin' for me missin' Octoberfast. Great friends. Great fun.
