I sure hope a lot more people are planning on attending this rally then just the few that have responded on the Buell boards. For those of you who didn't go last year you missed an awesome event and I can asure you that this year is going to be just as much fun if not more!!! Mark your calenders and get your butts to this event!! |

I'm planning on going. It depends on what the family decides on whether I'm riding out or trailering. A neighbor just bought a Kawasaki, is there anything that says a non-Bueller can't come? |

Kim, Where's Cottonwood Pass? I used to live in Vail. I'd take Rabbit Ears Pass out of Steamboat (to get to Breck from Vail, the long way) Mennis |

Lake_Bueller Cottonwood Pass is west out of Buena Vista up RD 306. It is only paved up to the top of the pass. We are going to go up and back down and continue a loop back to Breck. This is one of the roads that gets closed(locked gate)in the winter. So the part of the road after the gate never has sand or salt dumped on it. Also no road damage from winter traffic. Near the top are five or six sets of fifteen mph switchbacks. A very fun road! Buelliedan and I broke off from the group that went around Turquoise Lake(near Leadville)and went up and back last year. Going over Rabbit Ears Pass to get to Breck from Vail is the looong way. Kim |

Brad- My wife just had something come up that will prevent her from coming. That means I'm most likely riding out. I am busy on the 15th but if you wanted to ride down here then, we could go to that steak place I have told you about (I'm buying).. My neighbor on his new Kaw is riding, I'll work on Ralph (the guy that bugged out at the last minute last year), and my son. Let me know what your schedule looks like and maybe we can get a condo this time around. Mike |

Mike and Brad, I am in the Minneapolis area as well and I am just wondering if I can make it that far, or at least at your pace. How many miles will you go per day, hours per day, to get there? My pal Jake wants to go too but does not have a Buell. Can he rent one there some place?? sean |

Sean, Mike and I burned up some road on the way down. We stayed in North Platt, NB the first night (Tuesday), then did the rest the next day. Wed was a much more easy pace. We met up with Don Casto and went through Rocky Mountain National Forest. Very nice ride. The first day got late (my fault, I didn't leave early enough and got seriously bogged down in morning rush hour traffic. ). If I was to hook up with you at the Lakeville McStop at 7:30 or so, we would be in North Platt by around 6-7:00PM. If my M2 can make it, your's sure can! They actually are quite comfortable for distances. Got a few tricks to make it even better. No reason Jake can't ride what he has. Hey, we take anybody! Last year there was a Aprillia, Duc, Yam and a Kwaker. Others too but I forget. I say we start planning.. Mike? |

Although you guys are now experienced "Rocky" riders and no longer need a tour guide, I'd still like to join up for the ride in again this year. Just let me know the date and ETA the Dam Store. Don |

Oh yeah, as before if you want to rest up, shower and feed before taking on the altitudes there is plenty of room at my place in Boulder. Accomodations are not luxurious but there is pleny of room, hot water, a cold refrigerator and a secure place to park the bikes. See ya next month, Don |

Don, Yer on buddy! I was hoping you would chime in! Your lodging offer opens up some possibilities. If we get going early enough, we could Iron Butt (well, sort of, not quite enough miles) it to your place. Mike, Sean, what do you think? Brad |

Brad, Sounds good to me, at least in theory... That is one long haul!! Iron but is an understatement. But hell, I'll try anything. Thanks for offering Dan. sean |

I live in Denver and plan on riding up to Breckenridge on the 20th and 21st. Anyone know what time the rides get started? Any other local Buellers wanna meet down in Denver somewhere to ride up each day? Kevin |

Kevin: I plan on "day riding" the event from Boulder. How 'bout joining up with Brad, Mike, Sean and I for the assault on Trail Ridge? I heard the road was open this week - a record for eariest opening. I plan make at least one more of the event rides. Perhaps a meet-up at the Morrison/Golden offramp on Westbound I-70? Don, thanks for the gracious offer. Isn't there another hooligan that lives around Boulder? I keep forgetting who that is. I was thinking that since we are coming out a little earlier this year that we might not head straight to Breck. How about Poudre Canyon? We had thought about riding out that way last year but there was too much rain in that area. Sean, If Brad can get out of bed in the morning (just kidding) we can take our time and enjoy the ride more. Nebraska is best seen at high speed. Your friend is welcome, my neighbor is coming and he rides a Kaw. We need to decide which nights to reserve the condo for. |

Mike: Poudre Canyon is one of the great ones, especially if taken on a weekday. Weekends tend to be a little congested with blue haired Winnebago pilots. The worst part of the ride is having to make the great "Walden Decision." Do I turn north and head for the hot springs at Saratoga, south west for Rabbit Ears Pass and Steamboat Springs or due south for Willow Creek Pass, Kremmling, Gore Pass? . . . with an early launch from the Front Range the possibilities are damn near infinite. See ya next month, Don |

Brad I finally have a good handle on my vacation now and can make the trip this year. Do you know if anyone else from the cities that is intereseted (besides Sean and his friend)? Has anyone made a condo reservation yet? Keep me in the loop as things get decided. Mike E |
