i'm a sucker for pretty flowers, especially in the wild. note the hillside beyond the bike, it's COVERED in the blue ones. (Message edited by jerry_haughton on April 15, 2005) |

still has the original engine in it, with the hand-crank waiting for someone with the fortitude to light a fire under it. (Message edited by jerry_haughton on April 15, 2005) |

looking up the north fork of the Kern River from the Kernville Bridge in Kernville. hard to see in the photo but there are several people on the west bank with hooks in the water, and a lone kayaker is messing around in the rapids in the distance. certainly not m/c related, was just enjoying the lighting. note the house up on the hill in the background. the view must be stunning. ok, there's another little glimpse of my particular reality, brought to you by your good friends at the Ferrisville Chamber of Commerce. y'all come back now. Yo, Ferris...beautiful day in the 'hood! The road cut pix remind me of those along Hwy 49 thru the Merced River canyon. I drove thru there on my way to Sacramento on Wednesday and the road cuts were unbelievable. |

Dino, 'tis indeed a colorful spring in these parts. me 'n D (and UniBear!) hope to get a guided tour of Hwy 49 from you and Char very, very soon. (ps: how bad would it suck to live in Buffalo???) |

"How bad would it suck to live in Buffalo?" Not as bad as you might imagine. Hamilton's about an hour from Buffalo and we're enjoying a bit of glorious spring weather in a way only a northerner can appreciate. It's about time, too. How do you spell relief?

Thought I'd check the computer before going on a ride and the earth started that old shake, rattle & roll bit again! Not strong here, wonder who got the worst of it. There ARE some drawbacks to living out here. Good thing you were not under the MTB about fifteen ago Jerry! (Message edited by unibear12r on April 16, 2005) |
