I love this pic, my very good friend ferris bueller. Caught this one during splash 2003. even though ferris had a major hang over, he still managed to shoot me a great smile. No clue who these lovely ladies were but they wanted their picture taken and I had a camera! This little hottie I ran into on one of the poker runs from last summer. She had possed earlier for me on a couple of choppers then found out I owned the buell and insited that I get a shot of her on it. This is jeff the bass player from mojoposse. he had just finshed off the tire on the xb12r. This shot is of one my co-workers. Was shooting with available light and was very surprised how well it turned out. Downtown Portland, I still have issues whenever I am downtown stepping in front of these trains that run all over the city. Not much to this pic. Really liked how the sun was landing on the surveyor while he was doin his thing. My good friends gary and dona, gary rides a vrod and dona rides a soft tail. Ah, this is my lovely wife shel who is proudly showing off her buell shirt. What do ya think, great shirt or what? and here is a young man that loves motorcycles. His name is cole and is the grandson of my friends gary and dona. (Message edited by pdxs3t on January 19, 2005) |

Jim - I visited Portland much too briefly in July of 2003 when I rode up from central CA to visit my sister. What a beautiful area. I hope you won't mind if I post one small pic from my visit. I came into Portland from the East and stopped for a quick break at the bridge at Estacada. It was at about this time that I started to watch for "for sale" signs on properties along my route. Thanks for the memories. Great pix!

Oh, Jim, btw - I really enjoyed all the slices of life presented in your people pictures, but I'd like to single out the very first one. Absolutely wonderful shot. Does your friend have that framed and on the wall? |

Jim, you type pretty good for a one-armed bandit, but you're getting to be as bad as me about the preponderance of lower-case words! maybe you could sink a sheet metal screw or something into your cast and use it to bonk the "SHIFT" key when necessary??? |

the screw in the cast isn't a bad idea, i might wait until after my next visit with the doctor though, if he finds performance modifications to the cast it just might push him over the edge and i was close to doin that the other day, when i asked if it would be off by late march and if it wasn't, i would be cuttin notches for handle bar placement. shel just took this one, its goin to be a really long 4 + weeks!

jerry: was that wow due to my very tired lookin, scruffy, ugly mug or the cast? fmj: that is cool burside is better known then i thought. its really neat to go watch the kids do thier thing, its amazing some of the stuff that they can pull off. when the weather turns for the better and the temps get warmer, will make it a point to get there and catch some good pics for your son to check out. |

shotgun: it was nothing other then trying to earn a buck to keep things goin. back in june, was lifting a 50 lb bag of activated carbon off a drop feed and heard a pop with great pain quickly following. took until last friday to get authorized for the doc to take a look and see how bad the damage was. when he got in there, found the damage to be pretty extensive and had to open up the top of my hand and both sides to stitch and pin the ligaments back together. |

...even though ferris had a major hang over... and who THEN was asked to lead the group to Cougar, on a gnarly set of convoluted backroads that i hadn't set a wheel on in five years. i'm just glad i didn't fall over into the ditch when we all stopped at the bridge in Woodland - it was THAT close...

Well, I finally made it out and about with the camera over the weekend. First time since my surgery. Me and my son Kyle made a trip into Portland to check out the Rod and Custom show at the Expo Center. I wasn't able to get too creative due to the limited use of my left hand but I did manage to get a few good snap shots of the rides at the show.

nice work, my friend. wow, Kyle has turned into a great looking young man! cool to see the American Graffiti car (and two of the stars of the movie, right?) how cool would it be to own a Cobra? fave bike is the Royal Enfield, looks like it'd be just a hoot to putt it out thru the Oregon countryside on a warm spring day. |

Wish I could have gotten creative with my shots, the arm just still doesn't move like it needs too. It was pretty funny, Kyle was having to adjust the zoom for me on the camera for most shots. He is really growing up and is turning into a pretty awesome young man. I am pretty proud of the little dude. Yep you are right about the two stars from American Graffiti. Cindy Willams and not too sure who the other was? They weren't allowing photos to be taken unless you paid for them so I had to shoot on the sly with available light. It was the same with Vern Troyer (Minie Me). The really cool thing there was, Kyle and him were havin a great conversation and Vern looked over at me and said do ya want a quick pic, if so hurry so we don't get in trouble. That that was really cool! Own a Cobra, in a heart beat. There was 9 of them at the show and all just absolutly beautiful. My fav was the orange one. Only draw back on owing one would be, you wouldn't even have to be driving it and LEO's would be writing ya tickets for speeding. The Enfiel would be a joy to ride through the country side, especially on a day like today. |

Paul Le Mat, played "Milner" and drove the yellow '32 Ford in the movie. |

Jim - Looks like fun! Would you really rather putt around the Oregon countryside on the Enfield than on the orange chopper with the curli-que handlebars! |
