how are you finding out this info. i have been trying to find info on the race. i want to go sat but want to make sure Geoff is racing before i go there. also does the infield pass with ticket let you see the pit or garage area. | ||

Live timing. http://live.amaproracing.com/rr/ They also have a live timing app for smartphones, it's pretty sweet. Geoff is listed as in the pit, has been for a while. Time is running out on the session, hope he can get in some more laps soon. | ||

AMA also has 2 iPhone apps, free version just with current info lap times etc, .99 version with full schedule, lap timing, etc. Just make sure you click on the road racing app and not the flat track app, unless you'd like that one as well | ||

Another facebook update from Erik Buell Racing (please friend them there)... they were running over 15:1 compression yesterday trying to get a little more out of the motor, and holed a piston. Back together and ready to go today, with less compression, but Geoff didn't get much track time. He's a pro. Here we are, 20 hp down and 1/4 the practice laps. They have us surrounded. The poor bastards... ( ) | ||

From Facebook! Tough day for us, DNF. Geoff got an excellent start. A bunch of crashes brought a red flag. Another practice hard launch leaving the pits and another one at the restart, and as soon as he got out on the banking the clutch started to slip. We had the slipper set with too much slip. That's what we didn't learn missing practice due to the earlier problems. Geoff can run in the top ten, hoping for luck tomorrow. | ||

Ya know; it sucks. However, there are at least 10 times more people who want to watch trucks qualify than who want to see the motorcycle race. I don't like it, and I wish there was some way they would show it (even at 3:00 AM), but it comes down to hard cold cash. That's just the way it is. | ||
