Funny that they would get upset about the VRod being run on the strip. That was the first place they let the journalists run it at the US intro.

Ok, I have to be careful here for Bernies sake. I wasn't at the Bulldog but that matters not a s h i t. What I wrote was information told to me by a reliable source and close friend. However, some folks have pinged me to express concern that what I've written might upset sensitive negotiations with Mr Tiller and his EX-employers so it is not warranted for me to say any more.

However, that doesn't stop me having an opinion as to what I think is happening across the board at HD\Buell UK. Personally, I believe Bernie Tiller's shafting is a well timed and co-ordinated procedure to coincide with the new model launches. I think Bernie was used. That's my opinion. Early on Buell were looking for someone to take care of warranty issues, especially with older Buells that were technically out of warranty. After all, Buell's have been breaking far to often and consequently, owners have been bailing out, which isn't good for Buells reputation or future sales. Bernie was given the task of keeping everyone sweet, thus creating good public relations, and at the same time, looking good for those observing, like say the potential future Buell owner and perhaps the UK press. But like all good things, they seem to come to an end. In with the new models , out with the old ways. Now Buell has seemingly established itself as a world force in motorcycle innovative design and manufacture, sadly that introduces tighter reigns and the bean counters are obviously at work ! Let's face it, if the Firebolt turns out to be reliable as the bull s h i t suggest, why have a warranty guy anyway ? Besides, as the Buell company grows, they're less and less likely to help the Buell owner who has, say an unusual problem with his Buell and the bike is several weeks outside of its warranty. Buell will just fall into line and do what all other companies do, which is nothing. When you're on top of yourself, why waste money on a minority issue ? The small guy gets buried.

Maybe I'm just too synical. We shall see :)

As for Buell UK warranty issues, I'll bet my bottom dollar we Buell owners wont get as much sympathy as what Bernie Tiller gave us. But if that's the case and I'm proven right, it'll be the last time I fly a flag for Buell. Sure I love my Buell, but if they play hard ball with me, next time some geeky kid asks me if it go's fast, I'll tell him what a piece of s h i t its been, and how much downtime I've suffered whilst making it the bike it is today, ie, the bike that Buell should have built in the first place !

Anyway, do I give a s h i t ? No not really, I just own the product, but it's a shame when ALL the Buell owners I know in the UK know of one man that's the best advocate for all things Buell, and yet the Top Brass appear to be working to a different agenda, and they want shut of him.

What gives ? Is this the behaviour of a MAVERICK company ? I think not !

I would like to voice for all the short people in this country... please make a bike for the "very" vertically challenged! And something a little more than a blast.

Peggy I hear you. That is why my wife now rides a Ducati Monster 600. It had to have a spacer inserted inside the rear shock, the front forks lifted up into the tripple trees and the seat sculpted so as she can touch the ground comfortably. In Australia we can not buy a Buell Blast, believe me she would be riding one now if we could.Pretenders and sporty's do not turn her on.I did not want to put her on a Cyclone Low as she has a heavier wrist than mine and want her around for a long time to come.Worldwide there is a great lack (was going to use shortage)of bikes for people with ducks disease (short legs). So how about it Buell a ready market awaits, fill the void.
