+1 we buy farkles just not the farkles they are use to selling. Why not sell adjustable levers, rear sets, exhausts, ect at the dealer I'm with you! when I call the parts dept. and ask for parts I get a "you mean those sport bike parts?! we don't have those here." its not until I say "but I want them for my Buell" do they go thumb through a catalog (or call the ONE Buell owner working there to grab the phone) |

I stand corrected. Could you imagine knee sliders being available at your local H-D dealer? How about Sidi, Alpine star, or first gear leather and textile gear? more than one full face helmet? Sure, there may be one or two out there, but it is rarer than steak on the hoof to find an H-D/Buell dealer that is "full service" |

I wounder how many Shoei RF-1000 dealers would sell if they had a nice Buell logo. But i know safety gear can't be sold at HD. |

got that right! but they have over 300 different t-shirts on the floor with the 1 full face helmet and 200 doo rags. I don't know about where you are from but here in Michigan Harley guys buy the bike and park it, then wear the t-shirt to proclaim they are Harley owners. 1,000 miles takes more than a year for these guys. |

The deluxe H-D kit includes the garage queen, imitation pot belly, fake beard, and doo-rag. I've never found a "4 cams good, 1 cam bad" (or 2 cams) shirt for the cognizenti in their shops. |

Thats funny Diablobrian, my dealer has Alpinestar leather jackets, multiple full face helmets, and various other brands of gear. They even have a wall of Buell accessories, including rear sets, CRG levers, and Dark Horse Moto sliders. I have seen similar at Liberty HD and Precision HD. I am sure there are more out there, but I haven't visited many dealers. |

I know Hals has some and Appleton used to (not sure about now), Liberty too, but the VAST majority have something like 2 women's shirts and a (1)Buell hat or something like that and have to order (when they get around to it) even simple things like turn signals, pegs and levers. It's the same old dilemma though, and the problem has been beaten to death. Only a very few dealerships seem to take Buell motorcycles and owners seriously. They won't stock it unless we buy it and we won't buy what isn't in stock...catch 22. |

Why do the dealers have to brand all of the shirts with their logo? Can't I just buy a BUELL shirt, not a dealer shirt? ac |

Q: Why do the dealers have to brand all of the shirts with their logo? A: Contract. Alternative: That's why I buy a lot of my shirts in the Buell Factory Store. I get one chance a year at Homecoming and stock up. The back has nothing but {BUELL MOTORCYCLE COMPANY East Troy, WI USA Alternatively . . . you can take a tour on any Wednesday they are giving tours. The store is open on Wednesdays. |

Oh, the dealers are actually REQUIRED to brand the shirts? Interesting. Does the Buell factory store ship? Can I order from them? ac (Message edited by avc8130 on August 18, 2009) |

I would like to thank all the employees at Buell MOCO for the excellent firebolt and 1125R I own, both great bikes - keep up the good work. Whilst it could be said that the 1125R was released onto the market a little early in its development I have nothing but praise for my 09 model year 1125R. Minor issues like the LFL/CEL in low ambient air temperatures I can live with. |

I hope someone picks up Buell. It wouldn't be the first time that a town in Wisconsin bought a company. |

I want to express a sincere thank to Harley-Davidson Motor Company for their generous assistance. I took my XB12X into our local dealership to diagnose a ticking noise that was turning into a banging noise. It was the rear con-rod large end bearing. My bike had a little over 30K miles on it and the warranty had just expired. My wonderful wife called the HD customer support line and explained our situation. The POC simply said "That shouldn't have happened." and gave us a goodwill warranty claim number. When I arrived at the dealership service department they had just called the customer support to get a GWW form and were instead given an authorization number for a new factory engine. This is why people are loyal to the Motor Company. |
