Pilot: The way things go now, manufacturers release new year models 6 months early! I could see this as Buell prefering to make it an early itroduction of a '03 rahter than a late introduction of a '02. Vik |

What Vik said ... Years ago, Chevrolet was *really* late with the intro of the '83 'Vette. I got an early one, delivered in April of '83. it was an '84 model, they ended up just skipping the '83 model year. |

It makes some sense. I see the XB as hitting the streets late 1st quarter of 2002. The annual intro is in July and dubbing the bike a 2003 might be prudent. As tough as it is and as much as I wish Buell would continue to feed the "delicious tidbit" mill, I am confident that the finished product will be ( to steal a HD term ) "worth the wait". Buell engineers are not only excited about this bike, they are PROUD of it. To me, that speaks volumes. Court |

O.K.1st quarter 2002 is fine by me as this was when I had myself taking delivery.I am still coming to terms with 2002 models being released in july 2001 and your practice of labeling magazines one month ahead ,which is being adopted in Oz.My thoughts to all. |

HEY BUELL COMPANY.............. i need to get your attention here for just a minute. i have a millennium X1, that i've bought last year. i really like the style of the bike, especially my edition. the bike has it's unique character that is just so "BAD" (as in cool ass hell). the only thing i really hate about my bike is that for the past year of my bike's life, i've had over fifteen visits to my buell mechanic. for starters, when i just got the bike out of the showroom. three hours later, i had a bad ECM. then a month later, the heads starts leaking. then a bad speedo sensor, then a engine temp sensor, low fuel sensor, oil pump leak, bad diodes(wouldn't start), replace rear shock twice, bad battery (first five months), always lose exhaust nuts, broken exhaust stud (on the front head), whiched collasped my whole header system. to top my year off, while starting the illinois "toys for tots ride", the belt broke right off the starting line. l like buell alot, but having such a awsome bike bust up like that in just a year sucks. since i got the bike i put over 10,000 miles. i ride the bike hard, but i NEVER abuse it. the salesmen said that there built for that. i my first year experince, i HIGHLY doubt that. a part of me says to get rid of it, but there is no kind of bike that has the same character. just "venting" |
