Here is
something I came up with for the kitty. It's kind of dorky,
but it's all I could think of right now.

I agree, it
should be on the home page of all the Buell discussion sites.
Some people take themselves, these discussion sites and the
subject matter, way too seriously. I like my Buell, I like
reading people's posts on BadWeb and ATC. I'm not going to
blow a gasket (tee hee) if I read something on these sites I
don't like or if somebody has a photo in their signature I
don't like. Who cares? Motorcycles are supposed to be about
fun and these discussion sites should be fun. To quote One

Exactly, folks get too bent outta shape over shit that
really doesnt matter. Have a lil fun & relax once in
awhile. Dont take life so seriously, you wont get out of it
alive.
I can just picture some folks stomping around
their house cursing the wife & kicking the dog because of
a picture they dont like or someone said the X1 was shit, etc.
damn if you are this wound up over the web, I would hate to
see what they were like in the real world.
We've got
wars to worry about, skyrocketing unemployment rates, poor
housing, taxes thru the roof, etc. Why not concentrate a
little more on those issues & a little less on the trivial
bullshit.

help with this. Whats a website and what is a forum. I don't
go to any of these as I don't know what they are. I spend
my time at these things here just talkin and listening to
others and watching poor kittys get help up at gun point.
which is ok being a dog lover myself. but somebody help me
I'd like to find out what I am

I check out
both sites and see no reason to get into a pissing
contest...again. But hey, I pay to be on here! I remember when
Blake suggested to Jay that they combine the sites...whew, did
Jay ever blow up.
I think there is a wealth of
technical knowledge in the vaults on badweb, that is very
helpful. If you check out our tech section, it is a bit thin.
What happened to all the old stuff that used to be on
there?
Badweb is a large site, which is an advantage
when you are searching for something obscure. The archives are
huge and go back to the beginning of time, which is not a bad
thing. The techheads seem to be more on that site than this
one these days. I remember when that used to not be the case.
We had Brian Nallin on this site regularly. It would be
interesting to know when Erik visits and comments though!
I think there was period on here when it got pretty
ugly with personal attacks, and it ran the techies off. I am
glad that schight is over. I said at the time that someday we
were going to look back at this stuff and laugh and
laugh!

Or you can laugh at this. This was just posted on
Badweb, I will leave it to you to guess by whom.
"The
XB9S-L should be one heck of a bike. Tons of torque, wide
usable powerband, one of the best handling street bikes
available, more eye appeal than an MV Agusta or a
999"
Now I dont have an issue with the new lightnings,
I like the way they look, but to suggest "tons of torque"? The
ole M2's have a boatload more torque. And as far as eye appeal
even Mav will agree that the MV agusta senna is one sexy
bike.

There is no
doubt it nothin sexier than an Italian Exotic Car, Bike or

Though I would opt for a 63 Split window
Stingray, Grace Kelly on my Arm and a nice old HD Pan Head
anyday..guess I am an old fashioned kind of
guy.

I'd go the '67 Coupe with the L88.
Funny thing
about the Split window is racers hated it and when the '64
came out, all the racers with '63s cut out the bar and put in
the '64 rear window.

Old looks
with new improvements is the way to go. Who wants to mess with
Tri-carbs when you can have Fuel Injection??? Give me a '68
Camaro, drop it 1 inch, add 17" wheels, a Feul injected 572ci
Chevy crate motor, and shave the door handles. Now that's what
I call a car.

Hi there
Dawg. Thanks for the kind words. You were correct about the
longer connecting rod debate. What was that, like two years
ago?
CMRA racing starts this weekend at Oak Hill
Raceway. Remember how you asked me what you needed to do to
get involved with that at OHR? Remember that nice detailed
email I composed and sent you?
Remember how you cast
aspersions towards me on Sacborg?
Maybe we'll meet in
person some day. That might be interesting. Would be great to
see you riding your Buell at OHR. Or are you all mouth? All
show, no go?
AnonymouX, Let me see if I get this one
right... You are a trash talking coward hiding in anonymity on
an internet discussion board who feels fine asserting that
most of the technical information I post is wrong, that I am a
"classic case of 'a little knowledge is a dangerous
thing."
quote:
Blake's ego is just way too big to make
posting over there anything other than a
hassle.
I am very hard nosed when it comes to people posting
bullshit technical information.
Pity you don't have
the integrity to post under your actual name. What is with all
the goofy usernames anyway? Y'all have some kind of alias
fantasy going on?
Dyna, I love you man. But running
back here to tattle on Court is, well, a bit lacking in
maturity don't you think?
Scott, Keep up the good
work.
Ken, Thanks for the heads up.
Those
who find BadWeB cumbersom to navigate, Try using the "New Messages" utility. Set the profile
preference to "Open 'New Messages' links in a new browser
window", or simply right click and open the links in a new
window. Actually quite simple.
Vik, What exactly is
a "hit" as in "SacBORG logs over 1 million 'hits' per month"?
Is that the same as "Successful server requests"?
Do
you know how many "successful page requests" the BORG logs, or
how much bandwidth the site supports? BadWeatherBikers.com is
running at around 300,000 successful page requests and 22 GB
bandwidth per month.

Texas, I drove a Candy Apple red with white stripes, 1970
Chevelle SS. It had unfortunately lost it's original big block
V-8, but in it's place it had a turbo charged 350 small block.
Mated to the Muncy four speed and a 411 rear end, it was way
too much fun laying waste to all the preppies' Porsches,
Beemers, and Z-cars. I got a lot of funny looks in the dorm
parking lot when I would be wrenching on it.
Blondes?
I try to stay current with those. Is Heidi Klum blonde? :] The
Alias girl has a blonde wig. Does that
count?

Yep, I guess it is. No worse than Ken running back
& telling you tho
You &
Court both know I love you guys like the twin brothers I never
wanted
Did get a
might bit bothered tho when Court made his statement that
nobody from the factory will have their cookies snatched here,
when I knew better.
You like to argue or discuss crap
as much as I do. The good thing is you know when sometimes its
all bullshit or just for show. hell sometimes I enjoy playing
devils advocate, even if I dont agree with the side I am
arguing for I will do it just because.
You planning on
making it up here for the 20th or not? Hang out with spidey
& dave & the brew city
boyz.

Blake,
Nice to see you over here at ATC. WE need
to talk. Call me sometime or send me your number.
ATC:781-646-6293
I only count the hits as users
that come into the site and visit more then just the front
page. again we had over 10,000 hits just in the Weather
report in it's first week being live. The first month of the
new site we were well over a million that month. I not trying
to have a contest but didn't like being attacked.
Again Blake Court and Vik we all need to talk with
each other. It will help all of us in the
future.
