I prefer to ride alone most of the time. I don't have to keep up.....and I don't have to wait!
This may be because the local sport riders take too many chances, and the harley crowd sticks to the cliche, like gum on your shoe.
(not all riders here fit the descriptions, but 99%....)

1, 2, 7, 4, 3, 5, 8, 6.
HOG rides are fun, as long as you are not in a hurry to get where you are going.
I use those rides as a resource, some of my favorite roads have been discovered on structured/HOG rides like poker runs and the like.
After I learn the road at HOG speed then I can ride it later by myself at Buell speed.
I rarely do #6, other than in Battletrax situations. I'm not a huge fan of wheelies and stoppies.

2,1, and 5. I'm surprised at the number who list #3. Cruising along, enjoying the scenary is usually because there's a cop right in front of me. It's actually quite nice when circumstances force me to behave but the ergonomics on the S2 and my Sportster both cry, "Flog me!." |

i live in western NY, where you slide around the corners all winter waiting till you can SLIDE around the corners all summer,
spring brings beautiful colors to streak past as you dodge pot holes you could loose a buick in , the amish community donates buggies and road apples to the slalom course, and i live 42 miles of twisty roads away from where i work..
