Hey-

Thinking about buying a Used 2002 Nissan Exterra. Can anyone give me any information about this vehicle? Does anyone have one? Any problems? Anything to look for before I negotiate?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

-Brad

Had a 2001. Thing was a TANK. 185-hp six is DOG slow. If you get stuck, you must have really been trying. It is based on a truck, and it will NEVER let you forget it. Reliable as an anvil.

Get the SuperCharged v6 you'll be happier if you do.

My wife has a 2003 Frontier which is basically the same thing just a truck. It is a great machine but I disagree with Mick about the supercharged version. The supercharger sucks gas worse than a V8 truck. But as said very reliable and built well. I would recommend it!

I had an '88 Nissan 4x4 pickup. My 1st pickup. Trust me, the drivetrains haven't changed a whole heck of a lot since then. The thing was one of the best vehicles I ever owned. Reliable, NEVER got the thing stuck. LOTS more fun in the Snow than my current full size Dodge 4x4. We're gonna look at used Exterras when it's time to replace the wife's mini-van

Can't go wrong with it. I had a 2000 Frontier Pickup. Not the fastest thing, though it has a torquey(sp?) motor, but very reliable.

Hey, thanks for all the input!

I'm making the "Big" purchase today.

Post a pic later. It's the same color as my Buell.

It looks pretty good but there are a lot on the road. I drove a supercharged version and thought it too was slow. The N/A version was nearly undriveable. Just way too slow. Just depends if you want slow with bad gas mileage or really slow with acceptable but not great gas mileage. BTW there is no Exterra.
