Sometimes you see things that are just plain stupid, take this pic for example. Wife bought it for our grandson, does it really need to say "wal-mart truck" on the bottom of the package? Dont know why but I think thats retarded. Anyone have similar examples? |

Well I'm having a frozen pizza for dinner. Sure glad I read the instructions that told me to "remove the plastic wrapper before placing in the oven" No ! |

As a package designer, I can tell you that you don't see half the stupid packaging I do! But I have to say, the stuff coming out of China (such as the truck above) is often the worst! a few other goodies (packaging, instructions, et al.): http://www.darrenbarefoot.com/hall/index.html http://www.mlaw.org/wwl/index.html |

Sorta redundant. Equivalent to having the brand name or model of your motorcycle put on a personalized plate. |

I bought a lawnmower. It came with a big yellow sticker which said in effect "Do not put your hand under the mower while it's running." I wondered if anyone who actually needed that information that would be smart enough to read. |

The hand-dryer towel (cloth) dispenser at work has a pictogram advising not to wrap it around your neck. Apparently for those who can't afford glue to sniff. |

"I've seen that before & laughed my arse off. Why not just one generic sign for everything..."Don't be a dumbarse"" Are you trying to put the legal profession out of business? Hmm, now there's a thought! |

I was following a truck that had such a bad stench my eyes were welling up. (from a rendering plant?). The back of the truck had a sign: "Contents not for human consumption" "Don't be a dumbarse" sign: This should put all along the highways, esp where you merge onto a 3 lane highway and the only guy on the fricking road stays in the right lane with a blank look on his face. |

Bruce, You have just hit the nail on the head!!!!! Can you say Driven by Ambulance Chasing Lawyers But on another topic: My new tower style computer has this totally awesome hot new style coffee cup holder. It even slides itself back into the tower case when I don't need it. However, there is something wrong with it as it keeps crushing paper cups spilling coffee all over my desk!!!!!! |

I wouldn't usually even consider thievery, but we felt utterly compelled when we came across the "SPEED HUMP" sign... |

glad its going well for you dyna, i guess crying was a poor choice of words.you are 100% correct in that the ultimate value of your skill set is determined in the marketplace, and will be subject to frequent re-evaluation. good luck in the new year. regards, dean |

The real crime of stupid signs like these is that we no longer actually read or pay attention to warning signs. I think that a “Looser Pays” legal system would cure this sort of thing. As a side note: I think that juries should be made up of 12 year old kids. By the time a kid is 12 he/she is able to think things through, is still young enough to instinctively know what’s right and what’s wrong, and still thinks legal loop holes are totally unfair. “What? You’re suing because you’re allergic to nuts and you ate a can of nuts that didn’t have a warning label that said “Warning: This Can Of Nuts May Contain Nuts.” Sorry Dude, you’re outta here.” |

12 year old kids as jurors! That's not a bad idea. I'll bet a lot of the verdicts would be surprisingly sensible. |
