The wife bought me a the book called John Britten.I know some about him but not as much as I'm sure to learn. This book is suppose to be the most complete book of his creation. Some great photos are inside as well. The book is written by Tim Hanna.A must read for anyone that loves motorcycles.

In the winter issue of Robb Report, there is a short of this motorcycle genius. Quite a story. Also one of his motorcycles is for sale also. something like 245,000 greenbacks.

Do yourself a favour, and buy the video One Man's Dream.
Really worth watching.

Received the Tim Hanna book for christmas too.

just finished chapters 1 & 2, looks like its pretty in depth, so far way more about the man than the project. The illustrations of building a Britten are awesome.

Looks like a good read

Hey,
anybody read the part on 206 -207?

Seems a Mr Erik Beull, now that's butchering a name if I've ever seen it, through Gary Slot at WP was interested in ordering some of Britten's motors.

Man what a bike that would have made, of course Britten's FI problems make a 99 X1 with the original map look reliable!

Court,Dave Gess, anybody have the inside story?

There was an excellent article on Britten in the last MotorCyclist magazine, and it has really sparked my interest in learning more. I have now passed the article to three buddies who all have the same itch to read more about him and his products.

craig,
the tim hanna book may server to spoil some of the mystique, but if you want info , its loaded with it. They have a sequence of pics showing the bike being assembled from the innards of the motor to the bodywork. Great stuff!

Dyna,
what age range would you peg that book at? I'm thinking about getting it for a 5 yr old

Matt
