A friend of mine sent me this link last week; it's a video of a bike ride south on highway 129, the "Tail of the Dragon". http://www.gormanonline.com/permitted/DealsGapOverlookToXroads.wmv For those of you who haven't been yet, this'll give you a good idea of why everyone raves about it. |

cool video, except you might want to turn the sound down when viewing, it's missing that buell sound |

Anyone else catch the "indecisive" squirrel at about 3:37-3:40? |

That's why I'm trying to put together the Braggin' at the Dragon 2005 trip. Got to ride it to really know what it's like, and it's unbelievable. |

If you want it from the cockpit of a 2000 S3 in the rain, with that cool Buell sound try here The server is slow and the file is pretty big (153 MB), but its worth the wait. I'll have it back on the fast server before too long. If you look at the fairing, every now and then you'll see the reflection of Roger's speedo. He's usually going between 30 - 50. It was plenty fast for me, given all the rain and leaves in the road. |

I caught the "squirrel", right after that the rider goes into a curve and pass another group of bikers, I do believe the last bike in that group was an XBS. Anyone else see it? |

I noticed the squirrel too. Did you notice the bike down on the shoulder right before that? Also notice the guy on the bike about half-way through the video that appears to be riding above his ability trying to stay in front of the camera bike. He's wobbling considerably, crossing the yellow setting up for turns (a really dumb practice on that road) and "pushing" the bike down instead of leaning with it. I'm surprised he didn't crash. |

That's one of the best vids I've ever seen. Are you on your S3? You should post that up on sportbikes.net. Those guys will get a kick out of it. Don't tell them what you're on for a bit. Make them guess, thereby forcing them to re-think their position on Buells once the truth comes out. -- |

Show that video to the kid who was riding the Xb in the video that was posted a couple weeks ago. He could stand to learn a lot about street riding from this vid. Very nice, thanks! |
