Guys and Gals,

I just got back from a local auction house and what did I find but

1953 BSA Golden Flash
1954 BSA B31
BSA Lightning 650
1953 Sunbeam 57
Philip Auto Cycle
The Norman Auto Cycle
1956 Raleigh Auto Cycle
1939 Scott Auto Cycle
1953 Auto Cycle
Hercules Auto Cycle

They are going on Tender and the tender closes on December 13, 2004.

If anyone is interested please let me know - these bikes are un-restored but look like they do not need any further restoration due to their condition. Out of 10 I would put them in th 8 range.

You got it Bomber,

They are individually offered so you don't have to bid on the lot.

Roger are you interested as I am sure I can scare up a few pictures.

My favorite is the BSA Golden Flash and the 1939 Scott Auto Cycle. Very nice pieces of machinery.

The ironic thing is that this is only a part of a collection of 80 or so bikes, most of which have undergone a complete restoration. Even though these are not restored they are very very clean. Some of the older ones are old indians, HD's and more old british stuff.

It is an amazing collection.

Newfie, is there a web site where we can go to look at the bikes or possibly bid on them? I have a friend who's really into older bikes and he may be interested.(He owns 2 Brough Superiors, a Vincent Black Shadow, a slew of Nortons, a 1930 VL Harley, and a couple of Indians, to name a few.)

If anyone is interested in bidding and if they are successful I do have limited space to store a couple until they can be shipped.

If interested in bidding call me. They will have the tender documents sometime next week.

thanks newf-
i got outta limey scoots after 20+ years of restoration.
lightning would be cool if it had crank bearings on BOTH sides, B31 would almost be a decent sled if the woodruff keys weren't made of galderned play-do so as to allow for easy shearing, replacement of same with harder metals creates engine failure. show me a brough or a vincent and you might pique my gizzard.
otherwise, it's just a bunch of scrap metal

Tramp,

There are both Broughs and Vincents in that collection.

The owner has over 80 old bikes and these from what I understand are the first one up for auction/tender.
