I am trying to find a clear tail light for my s3. I found a company that makes one with integrated turn signals as well, for most models but the s3. Does anyone know if the S1 and S3 are the same size? Thanks. P.s. thanks firemanjim for the line on aftershocks and lindemann. It was exactly what I was in need of. Be safe. |

I saw an X1 in Paris the other weekend with a really neat tail-light with integral indicators, the guy couldn't tell me what model it was off but it said Aprilia on the lens, probably off a little scooter.} |

We have the clear tail light LENSES at American Sport Bike, have for a while. they are here: Last night I installed the LED board with integrated turn signals on my S1W that is very similar to the one we already sell for the XB series here. And like the XB series one, it rocks. The brake light is nuclear bright, the turn signals very clear. I'll try and get a picture up later. But like the XB one, I'll have a difficult time showing how very cool it looks because the light is so bright it overloads the CCD in the digital camera and skews the color balance. Everyone that sees the XB one says that they MUST have it, it is that good. This one is no different. We sell just the LED board for a pricey $259, but it is quality built with first rate components. There are a lot of JUNK LED products out there, this is not comparable. I'll have a price for the complete assembly with clear tail light lens soon. Installation is a tad tricker than with the XB one, but not hard at all. It will fit all X1s, S1s, and M2s, as well as Ducati Monsters. I don't have one yet for the S2/S3 tail light. Big Al Lighton Speaks the truth, if he says it I know it's good stuff. While we are on the subject, I have the American Sport Bike CF tail for the 2KM2- I've installed the Joker machine billet turn signals and have found them to be less than the "really shine" bright that they advertise- any LED alternatives for such small piece??- they look great with the tail, BTW. |

I just want to say that I saw the LED tail lights on the S1 Al is talking about last night- if you are even remotely considering such a thing, do it, they are BRIGHT. |

Here's some pictures. The ones with just the tail light, not brake light, are as shot. The ones with the brake light have been slightly retouched so that they look closer to they do in real life. But the brake light is decidedly brighter than they appear in these photos. In fact, ALL the lights are brighter than they appear here. It was a bright overcast day, I shut down the exposure and aperture in order to prevent the LED lights from saturating the dig camera CCD. I'll have a full assembly as a plug&Play housing with clear lens(for more $$), rather than just the raw board assy, sometime soon. But the raw board, which is pretty easy to install, is available now. Available here (Message edited by al_lighton on October 16, 2004) |
