I didn't want to spend $400 - $600 on rearsets for the Ma Deuce, so I went ahead and ordered these parts off of Ebay - they are the Billet4Race relocators, "Racing" Shift linkage and Brake Pedal. Machine work was excellent, not tooling marks or spurs. Minor, minor fitting required- a Dremel / Wizard and a deadblow mallet were required also. Rear cylinder linkage had to be cut to 11/4 inch, no loss of feeling on the rear brake: Every piece on the shifter is adjustable (ball - socket joints / threaded ends with the nut to hold the position true. They took me an afternoon to dial in properly, but my patience was rewarded with much, much better shifting. I had been running the 2000 stock 'reach-around'- and I still find myself overcomping to find neutral. No slop at all. I had him not drill the skeleton holes that the parts normally come with for cosmetics. All pieces shined right up with some wet sand - sandpaper. The setup is just about as aggressive as I wanted it to be: (Message edited by genesisclimber on October 05, 2004) |
