All depends on the weather. If its 34 degrees in the morning then im not going. I have nothing to prove by freezing my @ss off for a 300 mile trip. Would rather save myself & the bike for trackday monday. |

MikeJ...so where do you want to meet up, Watertown or further east? What time? Sorry about the delay in responding but my wireless network crashed yesterday. Ugh... |

Bill, Won't know if I'm going until after tonight, might be working on Sunday. I'll post Thursday morning if I'm going. There is or was a GeorgeWebb in Oconomowoc on the east side of town, or the McDonalds also on the east side of town, either of those would be good places to meet to allow for a warm place to wait until the other one arrives. I'll post here in the morning around this time tomorrow with a definite decision. |

MikeJ...Either spot is fine. Never saw Webb's in Cooney, but I can find it easily enough. Just let me know when and where. You can't miss me, I will be the one with a dozen layers of polar fleece on. |

Probbly won't be at the Starbuck, but perhaps. Depends on who rtides with me and how cold we are. Each time I look at the weather the temps get colder. I think the Cruds must have a deal with the weatherman as both Saturday and Monday look warmer |

Outrider, I'm out, working Sunday, sorry. Another CrudRun I'll miss. Now there will probably be mass sightings of numerous pre-release test mules running all over the place. Have fun folks, should be a good day to ride. |

Mike...sorry to hear that. Let's try and get together for the Spring Run. Will tell you about all the real and imaginary test mules we see at the run. |

Will do. If winter plans go well who knows what will come wheeling out of my garage come springtime. I haven't done a total frame level winter teardown in many years, and never on a bike with less than 30,000 miles. Not sure if I will this winter, but thinking about it as there's a few things I'd like to reroute and reconfigure a bit and assembled parts are sometimes hard to work around. |

Mike...with a pending project of that magnitude, I get the feeling you need to work all the extra hours you can to fulfill your dream. LOL |

Don't know folks. The weather for the Slimey Crud Run is looking mighty fine for this time of year in Wisconsin and there doesn't seem to be many indicating they are going. Could it be you may have turned into "Fair Weather Bikers," eh? Sure hope you folks aren't planning on wasting a beautiful Sunday afternoon hoping that either the Packers, the Bears or the Vikings will win when you could be out doing something yourself that doesn't entail work. Football season will still be there when the snow flies and you are stuck indoors. In the interim, the media will keep you informed of the scores and the few crucial plays or bloopers made. Not to mention, you paid more for your bike and cold weather riding gear than you did for the season tickets either at home, your favorite sports bar or in the stadium. Might want to consider getting a return on your investment, eh? |

Just got an email from Craig, the Iowa Farm Mafia will be there in force. They, as well as us riders from the Appleton area will be riding about 150 miles one way to get there. Should be about a 350 mile day! I can't wait. Dave |

Sorry Easyflier and Dave. I'm out. When school started, my riding season ended. I hate to miss the Crude Run, but I have to two tests I'm studying for right now. I know Gearhead and the rest of the Iowa Farm Mafia will be there. By the way, watch out for Cuba City, WI (Hwy 151 detour), I picked up a $156 speeding ticket there a couple weeks ago. Major speed trap. Best wishes and ride safe guys. Mike |

We went thru CubaCity back around the end of May via that detour. Nice small town, probably getting 1000 times its normal traffic due to the detour. Quite a few ways to detour around the detour if you have a good map. There is a decent little antique shop there that also has old house parts in case anyone is looking for an old brass doorknob or even for a whole old door. |

Kind of expected the Iowa Farm Mafia to be there in force. No Pro Football Team and it ain't hunting season yet. LOL |

Boomer, Cya in the spring I'm sure. Daves, Current plan is to ride to Madison on Saturday afternoon, find a place to sleep and join your group for coffee in the morning. Probably make the return trip with the IFM Sunday afternoon. |

Yeah Boomer, I see that cop every time I go thru there. I now shortcut across just north of the supper club north of Cuba City and head west over to the blacktop that runs south out of Platteville and back to the detour road. 156.00 ! wow, how fast were you going? Sorry I won't see you Sunday. Outrider, Deer season starts tomorrow in Iowa, I skipping the first weekend of it to go to the crud run instead. Easy, Does that mean you're not doing the track day on Monday? Dave |

it doesn't have to be very fast to get tagged for that kinda dough -- 20 over or so will do it just fine or so I hear |

oh, yeah, before I ferget -- to those that DO make the crud run, one of the more common hazards to navigation I've expeirence on some of the lettered roads out in that neck of the woods are dogs -- they can come outa nowhere, and seem hellbent to protect their turf from the gangs of maurauding scooter trash . . .. . I've seen a couple badly hurt by passing bikes, and one killed -- just a word of warning |

Still plan on the track day Monday, would probably be smart for me just to stay up in that area but I haven't planned that far ahead. I'll probably ride back to the QCA with my buddy though and truck or ride up to Blackhawk the next morning. He was asking the other day if it was possible to do the track day if he showed up, I told him we could talk to you Sunday about it. You gonna ride all the way back to Appleton and then return Monday morning? |

We have room for your friend to get in on the track day. Yep, back to Appleton Sunday night for us. Back to the track on Monday morning. |

I'm cold just sitting here thinking about it. I got warned today at work that it can snow really early up there. I'm not looking forward to taking off in the morning, 40 something and rain. Me and Mom will ride close to 1000 miles this weekend. Burrrr. D, I think I hear a deer here in IA calling your name. |

If you two get too cold or it starts to snow on you call em and I'll come get you with the trailer. Is it a big deer? Dave |

Im still not 100% on going or not yet. The wife already told me she has no interest in it so that actually makes it easier for me...I can haul @ss on the R1 & dont have to wait around Not sure if anyone from Milwaukee is meeting up at Hals or not. Might just hook up with a few locals at the starbucks in Lake Geneva & ride out. |
