Thought this deserved it's own thread.

Buell has a new guy at the helm! Jon Flickinger has been named President and COO of Buell as of Aug 11th 2004.
John Hevey has been moved to VP of Strategic planning and new business development.

Thanks to John for 4 years of doing a great job at Buell and Congrats to Jon on his new position and I'm sure we have great things to come!
(hmmm, maybe if my name was John or Jon I could get a job there!)

Ride to the edge!

Jon Flickinger was most recently VP of sales in North America for Harley-Davidson, and presided of the greatest growth in sales ever recorded. Still ready to believe "H-D is about to give up on Buell" as we have heard? Let's see, record sales year for Buell, top-level sales VP assigned to Presidency...looks pretty promising to me!

Blah, blah. Build a bike that fits real people.

Then back it up with a nationwide chain of dealers that support it. The Waterloo's, Modesto's, Appleton's and Tilley's are great, but they are not the norm.

Hey Anony. You think he needs any help in sales, support, general Buell enthusiastic help? I could use a career that I can get excited about.

Now why don't they consider opening up a couple of Buell Shops and break away from the H-D Buell "arrangement"?

Jon Flickenger is an "old timer" who knows the HD system and how to make things work.

He will be a tremendous asset to Buell.

Congrats to Buell and Jon. Thanks to John Heavey. I never knew him well, but heard good things.
