Hey, anyone know of someone who does race leather alterations? I bought a sweet two-piece set at a tremendous discount. The top half fits like a glove...only the bottoms won't make it over my big thighs! Any leads would be greatly appreciated.

They made me a full custom set, and they do repairs.

Rick,

Syed is in Orlando. Don't know if they're close to you ... Mapquest said about 140 miles?

My first set of leathers was made by them (bought them used from a friend) - and I think they do alterations.

Their leathers are very well made so I'd not be afraid of their repairs or mods. I've race-crash tested my Syeds 3 times (once at over 120 in turn 8 Willow Springs) before I bought my custom-made Z leathers.

I can't say enough good about Z Custom - but they're out here (CA) and if you're talking alterations, you really REALLY need to BE THERE getting measured by the folks doing the work. There are subleties in how the measurements are taken and then assembled... small differences mean a lot in final fit.

Advice worth half of what you paid for it.

Thanks for the info guys...anything is a better alternative than buying a new set...I think.

...and Jason...a thigh master is exactly what I don't need...my legs are built like a horse, man!
