okay i got a question for you all. i have a 2002 M2 grey and orange. the decals on the tank which are raised are begining to peal off and it seems that the paint is coming of with the decal. what to do.... what to do... i wouldnt mind to not have the decals, but i wish the paint would stay. anyone else have this happen? thanks... |

soak em with wd40 n theyll come right up no paint as for whats already peeling dunno what to tell ya bout that touch up paint mabye? |

I just started to notice the same on my bike. (I have the same bike as you). I pushed the sticker back down and acted like nothing ever happened. |

Why did Buell use plastic in the first place? Mine is having a little problem on the safety sticker below the gas cap. Yea I never removed it now it is bubbling. Most likely I will be getting a new tank soon. Somebody mentioned coating the Buell tank with Herculiner then painting over it. Regards Mike |

i have been just pushing them down but, it seems that i have to do that every time i ride. it is really bad after it has been parked in the sun for awhile. |

I have a 2k M2 that never had the bubbling problem when the paint was stock. When I had my bike repainted, I stripped the old paint all the way down to the plastic. The guy who repainted my bike said the only thing he did out of the ordinary was to use a flex additive with the DuPont paint. I still don't have the bubbling problem (yet?). BTW, the stock tank looks great without the raised decals. I never bothered to put them back on. |
