Our brag group is hosting the event. I'm heading up to Boone this weekend to scope a few places out for nighttime fun and to see if any of the roads are washed out from all the rain we've had. |

I am going to be there got an XB12R booked at Tilleys. Land Charlotte pm Tuesday 21st 1620. The Brag site gives a link to this Motel http://www.qualityinnboone.com/. Brag site quotes $99 per night for 2 people in a twin room including breakfast. Booking with motel via above link came to $80.00 no breakfast. Havnt booked anything yet. Need to know what time the kickoff at Tilleys is on wednesday, that is when I pick up the bike. Also planning on going down to Deals gap / Blue Ridge Parkway after the event and returning to Tilleys pm on the Monday if anybody wants to tag along. Need a cheap place to stay on Tuesday night prefreable close (read walking distance) to Tilleys in Statesville. Looking forward to riding on the wrong side of the road again. |

paul there is a best western, a super 8 and a motel six all on the same street with tilley's less than a 1/4 from the shop. look on their websites. I believe the host hotel is the quality inn because they have a nice restaurant and thats where the dinners will be and such. I do know for night time fun there is a go cart track right down the street. and being that its a college town I know there are Bars..... But trust me after riding there all day you maybe tired |

I've already registered and my buddy who just bought an M2 is going. 1313(Brankin) had expressed interest so there's another. I was holding off on making reservations 'til I knew what the host hotel was but was thinking of getting a room at one of the hotels by Tilley's for Tuesday night. The go-kart track sounds like more than a little fun. I've been kicked out of a large portion go-kart tracks in the eastern half of the U.S. |

I just booked a room at Motel 6 1137 Moreland Drive for the 21st September Tuesday which if I got it right is just down the road form Tilleys. Anybody want to share a room at the host hotel www.qualityinnboone.com email me if you do. What sort of weather can I expect and therfor how much wet weather / thermal gear do I need, bear in mind I think 65 deg F is bloody cold, 80 to 90 just right and its got to be over 110 to be real hot. |

Paul The weather here can be real strange. I've have seen temp. of 45 deg F on one side of the mountains and 75 deg F on the other side. The best thing to do is go to http://www.weather.com/weather/local/USNC0072?from=search_city and check the weather before you leave. Might want to pack rain gear just in case it does rain. |

Have the routes been planned yet? I have a place north of Asheville and was planning on staying up there rather than paying to stay somewhere near Statesville. |

Routes have been planned, don't have the route maps at this time. The event will be in Boone, NC. The host hotel will be the Quality Inn. Sign in for the event will be at Tilleys on first day, then leave out from Tilleys to Boone. Every thing has been mapped out. |

Brian, I'll check on it and mention it to Bear. and for every one else here that is planning on going a little update from Peggy Utphall; "BRAG will hold the event registration at Tilley's from 10a - 3pm. BRAG will rent the dyno from 10a - 3pm and this will be free to any registered event participant. BRAG will supply an event banner welcoming riders and flagstring for flagging Buell parking. Tilley's will provide lunch, and place for registration, Buell parking, music, (possibly Tripp Nobles to sign autographs), and any other suggestions that will make the stop at Tilley's unique and fun. One of the things I would ask your help with is one or two local routes or attractions that if people didn't want to sit at the dealership and weren't ready to head to the hotel in Boone, they could go for a quick ride in another direction or go visit something of interest in the area. Any thoughts on this? Currently, my plan is to arrive on Monday night, stop at Tilley's on Tuesday to make sure our supplies arrived and we are set for Wednesday. Then we will be back on Wednesday morning to set up for registration and the day, then back to Boone for dinner and the riders meeting. Please promote the locals to register for the event, even if they are not planning on staying at the hotel in Boone. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks in advance for your help." Eric |

Thats correct mate. I am flying from Salt Lake City to Dallas then on to Charlotte, don't know why I have to go via Texas, guess it's the only way to get visitors to go ther ( now ducking Blakes retort) with AA. |
