I figure it's on the left side near the transmission, at least that's where the clicking is coming from. The entire footpeg assembly is in the way of the screws. Edit: I should add that my 01 Blast wouldn't start after doing a quickstop that ended up stalling it. The lights, horn, etc. work and the starter makes a loud clicking noise. A few people have said it might be the battery but I don't think it is because, in the past, my odometer would blink if the battery was too weak and I'd still have enough juice to start it, and my odometer is fine now. Plus it makes sense that I jarred something loose on a panic stop. I don't know where to look for loose connections though. I ended up clutch-pop starting it to get home. Anyone care to walk me through a reasonable troubleshooting check for such a scenario for a beginner? edited by mgdpublic on June 21, 2004 edited by mgdpublic on June 21, 2004 |

Hi Ezblast, Always first to help! That link doesn't talk about accessing the starter though, unless I missed something. You mentioned an online PDF manual. Do you have a link to that? Thanks, Mike |
