So I am sitting in my office reading the magazine of the day which just happen to be Harley Enthusiast. I turn to Pages 20 and 21 to find an article about people who own both a Buell and a Harley. After reading about Jay Leno who had nothing but nice stuff to say about his Buell I notice a familure looking Waterloo dude who I just happen to take a picture with. Here is the pic of Ralph and his wife.

I wonder if Ralph and Janet will still remember us "little people" now. Very cool! Ride to the edge! Dave daves@h-dappleton.com |

All right, all right!! So you guys don't think I've been a snob, I just got home from the Iowa Girls State Track Meet and what's the first thing I do after visiting with me wife? I jump onto BadWeb, of course!! Yeah for those I don't know, besides being a shop teacher(with all my fingers) I am also the head girls track coach at West High in Waterloo, actually this is my 25th year at both!! We had a good showing with 6 events qualified, our highest finish in the open 200, placing fifth. Anyway, Dave is the reason for the photo to begin with, he gave the author of the article our name, he contacted us and the rest is history!! Besides, any excuse to get some Buell coverage in the Harley world is great as far as I'm concerned!! The autograph line is to the left |

Well I have not recieved my issue as of yet. My wife and I were also slated to be in the same article, could anyone tell me if the not so famous Gomo's made it? For some reason the snails they use to deliver the mail here are slower than the average ones. |

Cool - Thanks for the info, can't wait to get our copy. So far we are 2 for 2; in 2002 Athena and I made Fuell's Streetfighter section, now this. Perhaps we should try for the Trifecta and attempt to make a shot for the HOG Tales - could be worth a try, just need an angle I guess. On a second note, this week we also made another magazine - Hudson Valley Magazine. with a circulation of a few 100K. They did an article on motorcycling in the Hudson Valley (NY)and included us as officers of the BRAG Club and spoke about me being the King of Americade. Throw all this in with the Front Page Cover Story and Photo of us in USA Today (July 2002), and perhaps a few photos from the Post Office wall, along with being on the TV show the View and we are developing an interesting scrap book. See you in the funny pages soon. |

My arm made American Iron at Sturgis in '94. I knew it was me because I recognized my partner (who was completely in the pic) and I think that I was the only one there in a white t-shirt. |

Gomo, I go to church with one of the writers for HOG Tails. I know he is heading to a HOG rally in New York this summer. |
