I just wanted to thank the Kawasaki dealership that sold the 1200zrx out from under me with a $1000 deposit the week before I got my S1. Without you, I wouldn't have my Buell. Thanks so much for being lame.

Yes, good sentiment and thank you for sharing. I'd like to thank International Motorcycle Exchange for being closed on Sunday when I wanted to purchase a Duc. I was dragged against my will by my friends to Bob Dron's in Oakland and was smitten by the X1.

The rest is history.

Similair story, at 43 no one (Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki dealers) would let test ride a bike, I had the cash too!!

The local HD dealer has recently become a Buell dealer so on a whim I decided to check them out and I meet DaveS.

The rest is history as they say... Now on my second Buell and having the time of my life!!

Renaissance Cycles in Tucson wanted nothing to do with my '98 Sporty on trade for the Monster 750 I was looking at. Lusted after an Italian but fell in love with an American! (Still a little lust for an Italian tho...a man can look! )

Jon: Is IMX still in business? I bought a bike there two years ago and kind of liked the little shop, but their web site is off the air and they don't advertise on Cycle Trader anymore.

Well while we're thanking people, I'd like to thank my worthless ex-fiance who I caught cheating back in 1998. Sold the diamond and used the money to by my S1. Second best decision I've ever made! Also thanks to my wife, who wanted a Buell rather than an engagement ring. Best decision I've ever made.

Ray:

IMX burned down (total loss, structure and contents) a couple or three weeks back. Though the shop has earned a negative reputation in the service department (not my personal experience), the owner and his wife are very cool people. I attended a couple of open houses where they were very generous; Duc test rides, food, etc. Sad times indeed.

Ray_maines,

Sad news my friend. IMX burned to the ground about a month ago. I don't believe there were any injuries.

Oops! Didn't see Ken's post.

Thanks to Confederate Motorcycles for being so expensive, and with no dealer network. Instead I bought that '91 RS turbo thing and got introduced to you bunch of lunatics. Although it's been nothing but BIG FUN, Unlike S1joel, I'm unsure if it could be considered a wise decision! AL
