Is $3995 + 500 shipping fair for an 01 M2L with 13k miles, real pretty, X1 cams, Mikuni HSR42, slip on Buell baffle, with all stock parts in a box? How much low end will be lost with the big cams? I didn't see a direct comparo in the Knowledge Vault. My guess is that it'll run like an X-1 vs an M2? I gotta give an answer tomorrow, thought I'd see if anyone might have an opinion to share. Many thanks. I'm out near Seattle on Whidbey Island.

I would say that is a fair price especially with all the goodies. As for the cam you will not even really notice the loss on the low end but what you will notice is they smooth out all the rough spots on the way to the top of the rev limit. |

I'd say you shud be able to find a comparable for $3500 in the Pacific Northwest, no shipping. In other words, I'd say $4500 is a little high. |

i looked at an 01 m2 in jax yesterday at a moto guzzi shop, orange and grey with 8000 miles. asking 7995. what gives. the harley shop was also asking above msrp for most of their inventory. must be a north florida thing |

It's a bargain. Jump all over it and ride the hell out of it! If you want, we could arrange delivery in the Northwest from here in the Midwest...of course there would be some additional mileage... |

Thanks for the feedback guys. Even an option for shipping in there! I'm gonna get her then (can't find anything close here in WA/OR thus far). Haven't owned a twin since my first bike, a 76 Ducati 860 GTS, which was way back in '79. Owned Suzuki's and a Kawasaki since then. I always liked the feel of the Duc but got spoiled by the reliability and acceleration of the Japanese machinery. But after not riding 10 years and getting the ZX-11, it was just not the right bike for someone living on an island. Nevada maybe. Forgot to mention the M2L has a Buell ignition module in her matched to the cams/carb, and I guess Buell tank/tail bags too, stock parts and manuals. She was dyno tuned at Widman's in St Louis when the performance package was added to her, and is supposed to run great with fuel mileage in the forties. Owner says she takes a few minutes to come up to temp upon cold startup, do they all behave somewhat "cold blooded"? Well, I'm excited and looking forward to the new sound, feel, light weight, and something different in every sense....

If you liked the Ducati, then you're going to love the M2. For what you're getting, $4500 is a fair price. Do me a favor; after you get the bike and ride it a bit, post back here and let us know if you think it was worth the money. Don't worry about the constant grin; you'll get used to having it. |

Boatz -- they ARE all a little cold blooded, but not any worse than any other carbed scoot . . .. . you're gonna love this bike . . . .sounds like the previous owner's already wroked out all the bugs and done all the mods you'd be likely to do . . .. .have a gas! |

Yes, will post back soon. She's to be delivered here to Mukilteo WA May 5 to 7th. $4442.00 shipped to my place of employment via FederalCo uncrated shippers. All stock parts and extras via UPS. What all do I need to put S3T bars on her Crusty?? (I put Heli Bars on my ZX-11 and what an incredible difference) S3T bars are 1 1/2" taller I hear, and imagine that'll be the first thing I do since all the other stuff is already done. I'll post pic and first riding impressions when she gets here too. Joined BRAG today, which gave me a shipping break. BillR |
