Does anyone know who I should call or where I could get the dimensions for the output shaft on the transmission? I have to have a sprocket milled out to have the splines in it and I need the geometrical data to run it through the machine.

Try Sprocket Specialities, I think they are out of California? Can the ex-Ferris comment on that one? |

would I get the sprocket made for a 91 to 92 sportster then or what? I am running a 530 chain and I have the rear sprocket already I just don't know if harley/buell changed anything. |

The front sprocket on a 92 Sportster has the same splines as any tube frame Buell. The thickness of the sprocket changes around 1997(?), which is accomplished by changing a spacer and seal. The part number for the shaft will be different after about 93(?), due to the gear pitch in the trannys being different around that era. But for your purposes, the 92 Sporty specs are the same. I have had a 97 S1 sprocket on my 92 Sporty and currently have a sprocket off a 2000, I think. |

I used a sprocket from a 1991 Sportster, 530 Chain and rear sproket from a big twin. All bolted up only thing I had to get was a spacer. |
