Over our spring break, Mike (Amazing Nobody) and myself went down to Greeneville SC, and picked up the silver and purple S1W DWIKE was selling. We left my house outside of Gettysburg at 6:00am on Wensday. My 2000 ZR2 Chevy Blazer would not play our favorite Johnny Cash cd, which damperd our spirits some. We saw a sign for Tilleys on the way down, which improved the mood immensely. We had the pleasure of meeting BuckinFubba, who treated us like we were long lost buddies. He gave us a grand tour of the place, showing us the race bikes, the drag bike, and some of the other goodies hanging around. Thanks a million Brian! We also had the pleasure of meeting Tripp, who signed some posters for us. Thank you my good man! We proceeded down to Greenville, stopping only for gas the rest of the way. We finally found Danny's place, with that beautiful bike sitting outside. Danny was most hospitable, helping Mike fill out the proper paper work, and helped us secure the bike once I got it on the trailer. Danny, you made one young Bueller extremely happy. We hit the road right away, I started out driving back, with Mike babbling about how pleased he was with the bike, and looking back every once in a while to gaze at it. We could not ride it back, as it was not tagged. We made it back to my place around 3:30am, after a total of 21 1/2 hours on the road. The next day, Mike learned how everything worked on it, and we even pulled out my bike and shined her up. I brought them both back to school with me, and am now waiting for the snow to stop so we cna finally take them out for a spin. For all who was involved, both on the board and on the trip down, thank you. Mike is most pleased with his new ride, I am looking foward to some long rides with him. Brian |

Amazing_nobody.. Is this your new baby? You lucky basterd! She is absolutely beautiful. I tired to talk a few of my riding buddies into buying her, but I guess they don't have tastes as good as yours! Congratulations. |

... in person it looks like purple! Yeah thats it! No for real, the pictures dont do it justice, it is like a cross between Blue and Purple. Looks sharp, the bike was extremely well kept, there is almost no corrosion or rust on any of the bolt heads or unprotected parts. Nuke Blue eh? Alright I stand corrected!

Nuke blue = Purple, same damn thing. Kinda like Triumph and their pink bike, they call it reactor red or something goofy, bs that thing is pink. |

Dyna, When I first saw the 'kinda like'... thing on the search page I though, here we go with that Parkway Blue and purple discussion again. Court's gonna be pissed... I think the nuke blue is an awesome color, even if it does look purple. Alex |

Bartimus has the same color combo on his '98 S1 here in Tucson. It is truly a thing of beauty! You should be very happy Amazing. I know after seeing Bart's bike, I've been contemplating how I can convince the wife to let me get another Buell. I think a nice tuber to go along with my XB would be a cool combo in the ole garage.

HellBuelly do you make up those quotes? Some of them are pretty bad ass. Yesterday we had to take the bike over to get the VIN and mileage looked at by a bike inspector here in PA, to complete the paper work. Since Mike physically lost his license at a college party, I rode the bike over to the shop. That mother is a mule!! My 2001 M-2L will pull up the front end, but nothing like that S-1W! I just snap the throttle and boom, I am staring at the sky. Was most impressive. Brian, next time we are down in NC, I will bring a damn camera. And we shall stay for more then just a half hour.

Bubba, I hate to contradict you, but, Yuengling Lager is the nectar from the Gods, for those of you who have had it. The S1 is the chariot of the Gods, hands down. I think we can all agree on the last one at least! Mike, glad to hear you got the bike all taken care of. That's awesome!!! Alex |

Hey Prior, this weekend when you make it out here on your way through, Mike said you can ride it. I already have a route with tons of twisties, you will dig it. Should have the tags and PA inspection by Monday. I just pray the snow has melted by then. Weather here at school in Western PA, is snow one day, and then 55 the next with showers and 60 degrees for like 2 days. Thats the trend of the past couple of weeks. If we cant ride, there is gallons of Yuengling here that needs taken care of, maybe Yuengs and wings? Brian |
