Sorry guys, I was in the hospital, angry, depressed, etc. My whole riding season thus far has been destroyed by waiting for sutures from various and sundry back surgeries to heal. I was dwelling on that and became a bit of a hermit for a while. (calling a spade a spade) but I have pulled out of operation death spiral and am back now, even if I will have a short period soon where I'll be in a new place and won't have DSL yet, but that'll be a temporary thing. I'll send you both my cell # so you can reach me where ever I may roam. |

Hey Brian, great to hear from you again. I was wondering about you about a week ago thinking we'd not heard from you in a while. At least you are on the mend again... Brad |

I'm hoping that the insomnia that had plagued me is a thing of the past, but it is good to be missed when you're gone! My 16yo son finally got to see it in person and I think he's already making plans on how best to get his grubby mitts on it. Can't blame him though |

Awww GEEZ Brian - you shoulda NEVER let your (or ANY) 16yo male of the species see that Javelin! HIDE THE KEYS!!! Gawd, I am dating myself - our neighbor had a Javelin and the ads of that time were "HEY JAVELIN!" - and we'd ALL holler it everytime we'd see one with windows down. |

Don: Not one single, solitary, mile. all this started in december....and I'm seeing the doctor again today. Kristi: It's good to be back Steve: Don't I know it! My uncle owned a red 74 AMX when I was a kid with "born to be wild" painted across the back of the spoiler....later in the Navy I owned a fairlane 500 when I came across a 74 AMX for sale back in the late 80s (I was 18) and I bought it the next day. Since then...a 72 Javelin SST, a 69 AMX, and a 70 Javelin SST. no 2 at once. I was sad to see each one go, but between a friend totaling the 71, the 69 burning when I was underway on the ship and having kids to drain the finances they all slipped away from me. I'm hoping to keep this one for ever and ever and ever...... |

Brian, It's funny how the old car thing goes. After seeing your first post regarding the Javlin I got to thinking about my old AMC. I used to have a 1972 Gremlin X. It had the six in it, not the V8. I did have a friend that had one of those however. I got to wondering how available the Gremlins were and did a bit of Googling. Man they are getting a good bit of change for them now! I don't think I'd ever get one but it was kind of fun to poke around and think about the old days....... Lots of cool memories from that car, I wonder what became of some of the front seat passengers..... hmmmm.. More plesant memories! Brad |

Man did I EVER LUST after an AMX. Gotta do my Hansen-framed Kawi H2R first... These guy-fantasies are gonna keep me broke, I'll never retire if I keep this up. |

Great looking car Brian! I was always a Pontiac guy, but the guy across the street had 3 javelins when I was in high school and man I would drool everytime I came home and saw them. |

Thanks guys, and Steve, You are not alone in your desire for a 69 AMX. I had one when I was in the Navy, but it burned to the ground while I was out to sea under what the police termed "suspicious circumstances". My insurance company fought me forever and a day before paying a fraction of what it was worth. The 70 AMX is even more rare and valuable these days too, plus the 401 became available in 70. I'm in my new place in Columbia MO and have internet connection again so I'm really back now. |
