Some St. Patricks Day Toasts May the luck of the Irish enfold you. May the blessings of Saint Patrick behold you Always remember to forget the friends that proved untrue. But never forget to remember Those who have stuck by you. May your dreams come true, your prayers be answered, your friends be abundant and as wonderful as you When the eagle shall nest in the hollow glen When mountain and fen shall from mists be free When the priests shall no longer for gold be seeking The crow shall be speaking as plain as we If you cannot get rid of the family skeleton, you may as well dance with it 'Tis better to buy a small bouque And give to your friend this very day, Than a bushel of roses white and red To lay on his coffin after he's dead. May you always come more than you go. May you have warm words on a cold evening, A full moon on a dark night, And the road downhill all the way to your door. May there be a generation of children On the children of your children. Many times man lives and dies Between his two eternities, That of race and that of soul And ancient Ireland knew it all. Here's to you, as good as you are. Here's to me as bad as I am As good as you are and as bad as I am, I'm as good as you are, as bad as I am. Here's to you and here's to me. May we never disagree. But should we start to fight and 'cuss, Here's to me Here's to it and for it and do it again For those that get to it and refuse to do it, May never get to it To do it again. To live above with the Saints we love, Ah, that is the purest glory. To live below with the Saints we know, Ah, that is another story. May there always be work for your hands to do.May your purse always hold a coin or two. May the sun always shine warm on your windowpane.May a rainbow be certain to follow each rain May the hand of a friend always be near you. And may God fill your heart with gladness to cheer you May you live as long as you want, And never want as long as you live. May your glass be ever full. May the roof over your head be always strong. And may you be in heaven half an hour before the devil knows you're dead. May God grant you many years to live, For sure He must be knowing The earth has angels all too few And heaven is overflowing. Ever tried? Ever failed? No matter. Try Again Fail again. Fail better May you be poor in misfortune, rich in blessings, slow to make enemies, quick to make friends But rich or poor, quick or slow, may you know nothing but happiness, from this day forward. May the leprechauns dance over your bed and bring you sweet dreams. May you live to be a hundred years, With one extra year to repent! May you have warm words on a cold evening, a full moon on a dark night, and a smooth road all the way to your door. May the Lord keep you in His hand And never close His fist too tight. May the Blessings of the Light be on you, Light Without and Light Within. There are good ships and there are wood ships, the ships that sail the sea. But the best ships are friendships, and may they always be. May God grant you always... A sunbeam to warm you, A moonbeam to charm you, A sheltering angel, so nothing can harm you. Laughter to cheer you, Faithful friends near you. And whenever you pray, Heaven to hear you. May the road rise up before you, and the wind be always at your back, and the good Lord hold you in the hollow of his hands. May you have length with your days, and strength with your step, and may each season have a reason to celebrate your faith in mankind! Always remember that hindsight is the best insight to foresight. May your troubles be less And your blessings be more. And nothing but happiness Come through your door. May you live as long as you want, And never want as long as you live. It is better to spend money like there's no tomorrow than to spend tonight like there's no money. Here's to a long life and a merry one. A quick death and an easy one. A pretty girl and an honest one. A cold beer-and another one! May your blessings out number The Shamrocks that grow, And may trouble avoid you Wherever you go. May the good saints protect you And bless you today, And may troubles ignore you Each step of the way. Health and a long life to you. Land without rent to you A child every year to you. And if you can't go to heaven, May you at least die in Ireland. When Irish eyes are smiling, You know there is something afoot. Bless you and yours As well as the cottage you live in. May the roof overhead be well thatched And those inside be well matched. May you have the hindsight to know where you've been, the foresight to know where you're going, and the insight to know when you're going too far. Someone get me a green beer, that was a lot of typing.
