That last video of the little 2 smokes brings back the memories.
In 1975 after an encounter with the wall while shorttracking on a Bultaco Pursang..I (after 6 weeks in leg cast) went back to work...a friend brought up the fact that there was going to be a big all bike drag event at the local track.
I took my CR125...tossed in an 18" front wheel, street tire, street rear tire, and cafe' fender and seat...took it to the track for the race.
The sanctioning body was the now long defunct Dragbike! organization. They classed the bike in class J/J Modified.
I won the event and set both ends of the record...13.81/ 109
Yep Glitch...but way lower...with drag bars and struts...and one of those fiberglass old school cafe racer kits...it would have been quicker...but the transmission ratios were way close...it was out of rpm at 900 feet or so...The kit the Honda rep gave me for TTD had made 36hp on an engine dyno in Atlanta befor he boxed it up and brought it to the shop for me to kill.
