I know better than to get drawn in this. For the record . . . as I too withdraw, the sum total of the 6 words I wrote were:

Court. Seems weird that there is a "tone" in a post, but it came off to me as condescending and arrogant. Not saying you meant it that way,but................. Same thing with the Ebay comment. I, for one , am very interested in a product that could fix a problem that the factory seems to have no interest in resolving. My 06 Uyl knocks and pings like a b!tch under heavy acceleration. This is a problem that I KNOW more than just I have. Someone, a sponsor no less, comes along with a POSSIBLE solution and comments and questions are posed with a rather, for the lack of a better word, dickhead attitude. Really pays to be a sponsor on this site. Pammy, PLEASE don't give up on this project. There are more here that are interested in the possible fix, rather than causing problems, whether they think they are or not. |

This has to be a candidate for the Number One WTF tread that I've ever read on here . neither Pammy or the manufacturer claim anything other than better rideability ! so what if it's just a $.50 resistor , which it's not if it's adjustable . add in the cost of connectors wire labor and $90 is pretty f'ing reasonable for a plug and play solution to a problem !!!!! DELETED edited because of an email . not so sure that i should . may rethink ..... Hey Pammy , ignore all this , test it on a bike real time and if it works sell it . geez , going back to lurking . Cheers (Message edited by Woody1911a1 on July 21, 2009) |

For the record, I was agreeing with *everything* the guy said except for the patent part... |

Rocketsprink, have you taken the bike to the dealer for your issue? What have they done to look at the problem? Just curious. |

bike has been gone through at a local dealer. Timing was even changed. Made no difference. So it leaves me with a bike I have to short-shift in order to save the engine. A product, such as the above mentioned, may be just what the doctor ordered. I'd rather the engine run a little rich, than lean. |

I went down to Cycle Rama and had a base line dyno pull done on my Uly. I came home and installed the new device. I took it for a 30 mile ride in stop and go traffic. Didn't notice any difference in power, acceleration, etc. However, the temperature was almost 90F and my fan didn't come on until I was 26 miles into the trip. Also, I couldn't get it to ping even when I slowed way down in 4th gear and accelerated hard from 2000 rpms. I will be riding around more in the next couple of days and then will return to Cycle Rama for another dyno run. As it stands now, I'm pretty hopeful. |

Another interested BadWeber here Edit: I'm very happy with the power my bike has but if this gizmo can eliminate the slight pinging I get in high temps I'm Sold. (Message edited by Metalstorm on July 22, 2009) |
