Also, make the phone number in text instead of a picture, on many phones these days you can just click the number and it dials. Also nice to be able to cut and paste the address into Google Maps on my phone too. |

Also nice to be able to cut and paste the address into Google Maps on my phone too. That's interesting. I didn't think about people on iphones or whatever. Hmm. Prob. is, if you use regular text, you're limited to essentially like 3 fonts that everyone has, mac and PC and everyone. So even though THIS wierd-ass font has not been terribly popular, I'd still like to do something a little more visually exciting than, say, Arial. Maybe I can put it in two spots. Do you know if the mobile devices read the actual code when they're scanning? Like, perhaps there's a meta code I could use that they would pick up? I bet I'm not the first person to wonder that. Google here I come! Oh wait, wait. Must balance checkbook. ...But tonight... ->ChelleM |

You could always make a mobile version of the site, kinda like how there is a http://m.google.com which is designed to work great on mobile devices. Also the mobile version of Weatherunderground http://m.wund.com You got enough on your plate as it is, just throwing it out there for you |

This is great constructive criticism, but I would like to see my wife get a decent nights' sleep sometime in the near future I have a sneakin' suspicion that she'll be up on the website all night tonight anyway. Oh well, at least I have the Land of the Lost TV collection to watch when I go to bed! |

OK, can one of you folks with yer fancy web phones see if the alternate message works grabbing the number and/or address? If not, I'll have to consider adding a few scripts - there's some stuff that helps the phones recognize numbers and addys. So tired. :P Yes dear, I'll try to get to bed early tonight. After bike night, and a quick trip for lunchmeat, and a teeny bit of websmithing. But then, straight to bed! ->ChelleM |

I see what you did, but it doesn't work on my phone (Windows mobile 6.5, both Opera and IE). For what its worth, the site looks great overall. Perhaps when you get the contacts page up and have the numbers in plain text it will pick it up fine. |

To me the second new font is just as bad as the first font you tried. |

If I were to put my Art Director's hat on - it's the wrong type grunge to go with the Buell corporate typeface. Distressed is good, like the Buell stuff, but it's too big a contrast with the strong, formal Buell upper case. More this style of grungy headline type is where I'd personally go. http://www.speedshow.co.nz Make it appear 'added to' - rather than contrasting. |

So you think more of a distressed Arial type font? Hmm. |

Or a Stencil type maybe. I do like the handwritten fonts - but in moderation. Save them for the things that ABSOLUTELY have to stand out. The rest should compliment and embellish the foundation laid by the Buell design cues. Just like the dealer does with the product. And then they'll change it all on you! |

Do dealers get a copy of the Buell GPS (Graphic Presentation Standards) ? |

Should be available on H-D net? Are you one of the chosen? I'll have a look on the press site. |

We have access to a large variety of images, hi-res promo shots, and logos. The two images on the top are from the Dealer Ad Planner. Don't know about the GPS thingy though. And it unfortunately does NOT include fonts. :P ->ChelleM |

What Court alludes to is you'll find that under the licencing agreement the Dealer is required to adhere to Corporate Identity Guidelines. They specify what fonts should be used, how the logo is deployed and even what PMS colours to use. I only have the Harley one. All ® and © and TM need to be in place before it gets Head Office approval - which, under the terms of the licencing blah blah blah... |

Oh, yeah, that's no problem. I'm not aware they specify fonts, but since I download all the logos from them, they comply. As long as I don't cover them up partially, or alter them in any way. And a nice woman from Harley emails me about twice a year to let me know if I forgot any little TMs or little Circle Rs. That's why I didn't include my technically-unapproved Liberty Buell logo I created. No sense asking for troubles. ->ChelleM |

ChelleM, My iPhone picked up the phone number at the bottom of the test page. Also, did you get my pm I sent you yesterday? |
