Thought this was bullshit because Yahoo and CNN aren't reporting it as of 11:45am central....but sure enough TMZ has it and a quote from his wife. |

OK, my subject line sucked. Fox news reported he was on a US Airways flight that had a rough landing at Tampa yesterday- blew both front tires! Makes you wonder if he didn't have a delayed stress-induced heart attack or something. |

This article says he was struck in the head during the landing. Could be the same thing that killed Natasha Richardson earlier this year: "Walk and Die Syndrome." (Message edited by jaimec on June 28, 2009) |

re. what Buellinachinashop said: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/us_obit_billy_mays Tampa Bay's Fox television affiliate interviewed Mays after the incident. "All of a sudden as we hit you know it was just the hardest hit, all the things from the ceiling started dropping," MyFox Tampa Bay quoted him as saying. "It hit me on the head, but I got a hard head." Makes you wonder if there wasn't a connection. We'd watched a few episodes of his new reality show "Pitch Men". I thought it was cool that he obviously didn't take himself too seriously. |

I really liked Pitchmen. Me being a producer in the TV commercial field, I could relate. Latest word is, a heart attack. He had an enlarged heart, making him susceptible to a sudden death. |

I saw another confirmation that it was heart disease. It really brings home that statistic that for something like 50% of the cases, the first indication there is that a person has heart disease is a fatal heart attack. #1 risk factor is heredity. If either of your parents had/has heart disease, get checked for it and take appropriate precautions. |

I saw him on the news that night. Weird to hear of him passing the next morning. I'd like to hear the autopsy report. He recently had surgery, so could have been meded up. Could have had a night cap after the rough landing. Then you throw a slight concussion on top of that...I've seen weirder things on 1000 Ways To Die. Purely speculation on my part though. |
