Was just watching AMA Pro Prime Time on Speed and woman was explaining how the Corkscrew at Laguna Seca came to be. The Corkscrew is, in my opinion, the most entertaining corner I have ever seen. Or for that matter had the privilege to ride through. It was more accidental than planned. I hope someone recorded the clip. G |

That track looks great. I hope to ride it someday. |

You've gotta do it! It's an experience you'll treasure. I've negotiated the corkscrew on an motorcycle/leaning sidecar rig and in a Corvette and I'll tell ya, it's a hoot and a piece of cake, relatively speaking, on a bike. Actually got a rousing cheer from the spectators on that lap, but in a car, when the roadway disappears at the crest, it's a real puckerfest finding out just how hard you have to make that left/right combo and not run over the curbing! |

It is the E ticket ride. Esp if you are eyes up and watching the horizon when you first hit the dip, by the time your eyes roll back down, you are through it and your stomach is still at the top. Note to self, dont do that! |
