I found this last night and thought it was hilarious: biggest automotive flops of all time. Interestingly enough, the Edsel didn't make their list...? Kep in mind, their definition of "flop" doesn't necessarily mean a bad or ugly car, but a woefully unsuccessful one. http://editorial.autos.msn.com/listarticle.aspx?cp -documentid=1038172 ~SM |

Most of those vehicles were fine cars, just didn't sell as well as planned. The Envoy XUV was sweet, I know it is on my short list of vehicles to own one day. |

Yup. I always liked the Crossfire, which was likened to "a dog taking a life-altering dump". I laughed for at least 10 minutes on that one alone! ~SM |

Unless they made the Edsel in 1984, I don't think it would have made the "Greatest Automotive Flops of the last 25 Years" article |

I like Edsels (my great uncle founded an Edsel club and some of his cars were used for ACC to make patterns for repro carpet) and even owned a Edsel hearse for a short time. For the article, I liked the Subaru SVX and all the cars on the second page. Then again, maybe I’m just different. Anyone else notice that Dr. Pepper is giving away 23 2LT optioned 2010 Camaros?! |

I agree with froggy. Most are fine vehicles, just not marketing wonders. I really like my SVX, but as I understand it almost killed the company. |
