The Ducati's gone, and a '73 FLH takes its place in the garage. We, um, mature guys appreciate the classics... That's John "Jet" Peek on the left, owner of Full Throttle Custom Cycles in Houston and a top Pro Gas Harley drag racer. A good guy to know if you want to go fast. Actually, he's just a good guy to know, period. The guy on the right was just looking for a fresh dumpster to dine in. r-t edited by road_thing on February 03, 2004 |

Newfie, you're right. But when you've already got a hot rod S1 in the garage, a 900 Monster is superfluous. Besides, it felt so ...Italian...(not that there's anything wrong with that! r-t

Henrik--Thanks! It's already got a 93" S&S stroker, so I think the power will be adequate for the time being. I'm thinking more in terms of cosmetic improvements right now. It could stand a little freshening up. Geof-no Photoshop, I think the camera angle was just right to hide the stand. r-t

Paul: Actually I think he's looking for illegal aliens with funny accents. Terrorists could be threatening our fresh water supply with weapons-grade vegemite. I'll cover for you, mate... |

Good score Tom ! yea a good trade IHMO. buy the way you suck... On your hot rod S1..gotta dig that gel pad must be good for an extra hundred miles before the "boys" make you stop eh ? BTW is that a metal ? polished heat shield on your rear jug ? |

Thanks, guys, I'm kinda proud of it! Donn: Yeah, the pad extends my personal range considerably. After a 150 or so, the twins start to complain. The heat shield is a one-off aluminum piece a friend of mine hammered out for me. Pretty, yes? r-t |

Hold on to that S1 RT. It carries the best styling ever to come out of Buell and according to the last issue of B2W, the most collectible also. |

Jose: I agree about the styling. It'll be the last one to go if I ever get in the "sell moto-toys" mode. r-t |

Don't worry RT, I know where you live. If you ever get into the "Sell Moto-Toys" mode, I'll come kick you in the shorts until you come to your senses. |
