My local gun store still has my ammo in stock. At $30 for 20 I'm having trouble buying them out. And I get a box of 30-30 every week. They do run out of .45 long colt though. I have been thinking about scoping the .454 as it has rings. I've only used a pistol scope on a .41 magnum. It was a 2X and I could one hole at 65 feet with it. I wish I could have tried it at 100 yards. |

+1 on the XDM
I just got back from the range today and I have to say my XDm .40 is a fantastic shoot. The first time out, I was all over the target with it. This time, it was like shooting the star out of the center of the Fairground bb gun range. I put 70+ rounds through the pistol in 15 min and was wanting more. $$$$$ said other wise.
Anyway, here is a good read...

Court, that's the same speedloader I use for my Taurus. What's it going to take for you to get rid of one or two? I know I can get bird shot in .22LR, but I'd like it for the .357 for hunting in WVa for copperheads and rattlesnakes. |

Court those shot shells are CCI. NR means non reloadable. Berdan primers and alumium case. They also make 44s, 38s, 45 auto, I think 9mm and 22s maybe more. you can buy the empty shells and load your own.Ive load 000 buckshot in the 44s intresting.The 45s will cycle in my springfield armery 1911, great snake load. |

Honestly, the subcompact was not on my list of guns to buy, but I've never seen one in person because right about the time Ohio allowed CCWs, the Springfield XD subcompact came out.
The 3" does seem to shoot better than any other 4" or 5" I've ever shot. I'm a firm believer in this gun. I'd like to see a slim, single stack design suitable as a back up gun. |
