http://www.cobrabuell.com/ My hat is off to Bruce (Thump4fun) He is putting a lot of time into getting a website up for the Buell riders in the Columbus Ohio area..... just another one of those things that happen when gums start flap'n over a good plate of BBQ... Looks like a good start to the riding season! |

From your web site Our focus is to provide a friendly environment where Buell riders can meet for rides, discuss issues, lend a helping hand, and simply the camaraderie of other Buell riders. That is what it is all about. Congratulations on your club and site. |

Bruce is doing a great job and I can't say it enough. The website is all his doing and should get ALL the credit. |

Mark - I've just started the COBRA thread in Storm Fronts and copied over your first post from here. Once you guys get a logo, e-mail me and I'll give you the specifics for sizing, etc. |

I've got some pictures from the Polar Bear ride in 08 with 6 or 7 Buells huddled together for warmth. I also have a ton from March Badness last year. |

I for one am very disappointed. I thought it was going to be a website for owners of both cobras and buells. Finally a club I am qualified to join (not that I would join any organization that would have me as a member).

Chances are it's a kit car, there aren't that many 'real' Cobras around anymore. Either way, it's damn sweet! Strokizator, is it a 5 liter powertrain in there? I've got stroked 351W looking for a home... Rockstar! There's quite a few Buellers in and around Cleveland, go check out NOB (Northern Ohio Buellers) in the Stormfronts forum. |

It's not an original but it's also not a "kit". Its made by Superformance in South Africa and is shipped as a full roller; all you add is engine and transmission. That way they can get around all the gov't regs on safety, emissions, etc. It's registered as a specially constructed vehicle. As for running gear it's got a Ford 427 sideoiler with steel crank, Eldebrock aluminum heads, solid lifter cam, single 4-barrel 850 cfm carb (had duals but they were a pain), Tremec TKO 5 speed tranny, 8.8" independent rear suspension with 3.73 gears, halibrand style knock-off wheels, smiths gauges including ccw speedometer, and otherwise is a pretty damn good copy. It's for sale if anyone has an extra $55K laying around (only 3300 miles on the clock). |

I'm aware of Superperformance's work. Lemme check my lottery tickets and I'll get back with you! |

Be sure to try to find the Blast riders in your area and invite them to participate. May the torque be with you! |

The Superformance Cobra is too a kit car, well, a handcrafted replicar says it better. Superformance are one of the major sponsors of the successful Knotts Kit Car Show held every Spring in SoCal. I know, I'm there too with my Manx, an "old school' kit car. LOL! Nice Cobra, Strok. Do you take it to shows too? |

Nah, I hate being in car shows. I went once and had to get there early and couldn't leave until it was all over. Parked next to some guy who was all anal about his '32 Ford. He had painted running boards and went ballistic when some kid stepped on them so he could see inside. Painted running boards, WTF? I spent the rest of the day letting kids climb all over mine, getting their picture taken behind the wheel, etc. and giving him the evil eye. |
