Hey ya'll, just a warning if anyone else is using these mirrors. My $100 mirror just commited suicide by diving from my bike at 50mph into the path of 8-10 vehicles. The post evidently was fatigued after enduring my XB's violent vibrations and could no longer put up with the strain. Weak ass POS.

Looks like the post just snapped for no reason, (I'm assuming due to vibration fatigue,) about 1/2" above where it enters the handlebar mount. In the threaded section. I was using the short post. Don't know if it's something you can inspect for by eye.

I went back and moved the mirror to the curb cause I couldn't carry it with me at the time. I'll try to pick it up on my way back from work if it's still there.

Damn, I really liked the way they looked on my bike. It will not be replaced though. Overpriced bling.

Same thing happened to me except I leaned against the post with my shoulder and snapped it right off.

The post is anodized aluminum.

I got a steel bolt with the same thread and cut the head off. It's silver and my mirrors are black but otherwise, it's a good fit.

They are much stronger.

Good idea FB. I'll do that with my other one. The one that fell off looks like a train wreck. POS. Ya know it'd be one thing if I wrecked it, or didn't tighten it properly... no, it just breaks under it's own weight.

It's easy for the aluminum posts to develop hairline cracks. My guess is that it was cracked at some point in time and just fell off when the vibration finished the crack.

that should fall under manufacturer defects and they may replace it for you.

I'd definitely contact rizoma about it.

Then i'd do the fb fix with the replacement too.

My Tuono mirrors have survived multiple crashes on and off road, high and low speeds, and only have light scrapes on them : )
