I have no clue what killed the Buell dirt bike but they are definitely missing out, if Daytona Supercross is any indication. The turnout for Supercross was larger and younger then for the 200. Plus, the way it was presented was entertaining and exciting and the fans appeared more engaged.

No Doubt! There were a lot more people there for the MX program. |

somebody in the AMA ruling class got their panties in a twist and changed the class rules. And so a great bike died before it was ever seen. Where they really missed the boat was having a street/dual sport version that they could sell to the public... Guess what the AMA thinks means that DRZ/BMW should be the only game in town in that cc range. |

Saw it on TV. Way cool start, Bubba crashed when he locked his front brake. Got up and tried to get on someone else's bike. He rode the whole race with tweaked handlebars and his helmet visor hanging off. Daytona has the best TV coverage. They have the cart driven camera running down the straight along side the racers and you get a really good feel for the speed and skill it takes to ride these things (something I sorely - pun intended - lack). The Daytona 200 was cool too. A Buell finished 5th! |

Btw, Travis Pastrana and Jolene Van Vugt ( think it was her ) were sitting about 10 seats away from me up with the common folk. He wasn't recognized straight away. |

Chad Reed is the man. James did do pretty well to go from the back of the pack to all the way to seventh. This is going to be yet another exciting motocross season. |

At the supercross the Cheap seats were the best IMO. The 200 was sweet except for the 10 lap yellow flag at the end of the race. BTW Bubba is the best, after RC of coarse. Chad Reed will probably get a hang nail and have to pull out the rest of the season for a hurt nail. |
