Posted on Tundrasolutions forum: The government just passed a bill that stopped the sale of all youth off road vehicles and their replacement parts because some of the parts (battery terminals, engine cases, brakes, etc) contain lead. Click on the link below to fill out and send a letter to US senators. This is some seriously messed up stuff guys. Is this why all the shelves at Walmart Bass pro shops and Dick's sporting goods are empty? Its getting scary! K |

Yeah, what's up with that? I have looked in Walmart for over four weeks now, and they never have .380 or .357 ammo. I still have a box in the house, but I wanted to go out target shooting and don't want to leave myself ammo-less. |

The shelves emptied the day Barak was elected. Total panic with some paranoia thrown in. Hopefully there are still enough rural congressmen to protect us from the anti-gun urban law-makers. Barak did vote for one of those stupid annual ammo tax bills a couple of years ago. Hopefully they will not be successful now that the Dems have so many numbers. I'm not as worried as the people that emptied the shelves. I must admit, long before the election, when the economy tanked I bought a few extra boxes just in case things got too crazy. |

I know I got a few extra cases of ammo. But the empty shelves are making me think I should have a Safe to store the ammo in. Looks like I'm going to be in the market for another safe. K |

"Next will be ammunition but not because democrats hate guns....no its to stop global warming and who doesnt want that? I cant wait till they seize our 401's." you said it best, im sure by the time i retire, which is 30+ years, our 401's wont be worth a dime and believe me they will find a way to tax all that money that some random joe took his whole life to accumulate! |

This law was sent to Bush in August of 2008. The House voted 424-1 and the Senate 89-3. Looks like almost everyone voted Yay for this one. This ban is complete garbage. How many kids are going to go out to the garage and suck on a battery terminal. I don't have kids, but I would like to get a fifty someday. |

I believe that another thing in the "gun/ammo" bill,if it passes, will make ammunition be coded and registered in your name as a buyer when you buy it. Also any ammo not coded, including reloads, you have now will be illegal to posses and your supposed to destroy it. If this bill passes I'm going to destroy mine a little at a time at my favorite range. Sarah Brady has nothing on our current "commander in chief". I might just become an outlaw for the very first time in my life. My local gunshop/range, which is very large, is almost devoid of gun and ammo stock. I'm getting a little concerned on just what this administration will do with all our lives. Getting awful close to socialism IMHO. |

Next will be ammunition but not because democrats hate guns....no its to stop global warming and who doesn't want that? In case you haven't noticed, it's no longer called Global Warming. Since evidence exists that the earth is beginning to cool, the new buzz word is "Climate Change". That way, no matter which way the temperatures go, they can never be on the wrong side of the issue. |

I read something about this on another forum. Someone went to buy a throttle tube for a Kawi KLR650, but it is the same part used in a kids bike, therefore Kawi won't ship it until it passes some lead test. |

As a responsible gun owner, I'm not opposed to making gun owner's accountable for the use of their weapons and ammo. It will hopefully make less stable people think about what they're doing before it becomes a felony. What I don't like is that this is a stepping stone. It, along with anti-lead legislation, will drive up prices beyond the grasp of the average Joe. I see this as a step in taking my guns. It seems like they're following Chris Rock's idea. "Gun control? We need bullet control! I think every bullet should cost 5,000 dollars. Because if a bullet cost five thousand dollar, we wouldn't have any innocent bystanders." |

Hey if we lose our 401's we can all become homeless in Hawaii and live on the beach in paradise for the rest of our golden years. Get one of those tent/cart on wheels they're making for the homeless now to live in. Looks like I'll be an outlaw too with the ammo. K |

It's all fun "n" games to politicians until someone breaks down their door and beats their wife/husband and children. Then it's "sorry.....I was wrong". I have feeling we are going to see a lot of politicians stepping on their d1cks in the near future, and a lot of diaper changing in congress. At least I hope so! |

In defense of Obama, this BS law was passed under Bush. Motorcycles are just the tip of the iceberg. You guys are just behind the info curve. |
