We just had a blackout for a few hours. a transformer blew up and half the city was without electricity. excuse for a cruise on the current test bike. VT750 Honda was just in its element along the harbour front. The americas cup boats were racing. Quite warm and with a good breeze for 'em. Like watching paint dry. Bike isn't bad. we're blinging it up. very good step up from a 250 and manageable size for a lightweight person. I can operate the clutch with pinky finger only. I am more excited about the Rocket III long term test bike I'm picking up later this week. Dave does big mumbo. The deal is we're blinging that up too. Also had a good hoon on some nice Italian exotica over the weekend. Man, nice bikes, Moto Morini Granpasso and the Corsaro. Hawt. Tough gig - somebody has to do it. |

The Moto Morinis make an interesting comparison with my Uly. They are very well specified: Ohlins, Marzochhis, Excel rims, brembo brakes etc. On the roads I think the the Uly compares very well and is 25%-30% less expensive. The Italian 1200 develops 120hp (claimed) - it's got some real pull - and longer legs that the XB. Sink anther 30% $ into a XB though. |

I'm anxious to hear about the Rocket III, if I ever get a cruiser that'll be it. I've had my eye on them for a long time. Whatta you mean blackout? Try up to two inches of ice on everything. We didn't get hit as bad as the western part of the state but I lost several big branches, one is still on the house. I heard at one point there was as many as 1.2 million people without power, they're still working on some, might be two more weeks for others. You could stand outside and hear trees cracking and popping everywhere, rather eerie. |

That Corsaro looks like an old Cagiva Raptor, but without as much goofy plastic. Both bikes look like great bikes... |

Will I post up some more pics of the Morini's? Picked up 'my' Rocket. Happy Dave's.
