Hey folks, I've just finished some new recordings and put them up on myspace, so if you feel like playing "music critic" or are just curious, have a listen at http://www.myspace.com/thelemonchiliproject. Limowreckers said "...sort of reminds me what I'd expect if Joe Jackson went on a steady diet of the Cruel Sea and The Church." which kinda fits! cheers, chili |

Lemonchili_x1, I'm not much of a music critic. Folks who know me think I listen to a lot of "different" stuff. I'm not much on oldies rock or anything mainstream. I either like it or I don't. I would fork over the money and add your CD to my collection if it were available. I like it. JB2 |

Hey, thanks JB2 I'm getting the hang of of my new recorder, learning heaps, and the quality is improving rapidly. I might do a run of demo cd's later in the year, and if I do I'll send you a copy |

I liked catching up the best, deano`s bar needs a little more polishing but I liked it 2nd best, slip away 3rd and freakin out last. Freakin out might be better if the guitar was less energetic and was a bit more somber like the intro. (but what do I know?) Add me to the list for a copy of this effort when it goes on sale! |

"why the hell is nothing showing but your page. I can't hear/see any music." Music player should be near the top of the page on the right side. It *should* start the first tune when you open the page, but I know my brother-in-law had trouble viewing it on his MacBook. He had to scroll waaaaaaay over to the right hand side and press play (wouldn't start automatically). Let me know if you can get it to work or not. Anybody else having trouble hearing the tunes? |

Thank you folks soooooo much for having a listen . Just having someone say "I like it" is incredibly cool. Zevon, huh? Besides "Werewolves of London" I don't really know any of his stuff... I'll do some digging, I'm curious now "Catching Up" is the song I'm happiest with, it turned out closest to what I imagined it would. The hardest thing I'm finding is figuring out when to stop messing with a song and say "That'll do". "Deano's Bar" was the hardest in that respect - it took a lot nights re-doing things. I agree, it could be a little more polished, but I'm happy enough with it as is. Actually the plan for "Freakin' Out" is to go the other way, after the intro it'll go heavier and electric, but a bit funkier too... But I have a couple of other tunes to finish before I get to that one Yep - I'm starting to get used to the recorder, and getting used to the monitors I got too. Momentum is starting to build |

chili, does your recorder let you scrub your tracks? what i mean by that is let you go in to each individual track and cut out any dead areas. this really helps on vocals. you can go in and get rid of stuff like you shuffling around while your not singing. or take out your breathing noises right before you start to sing. all of these things help make your recordings sound more polished. |

It does, the Tascam calls it the "silence" function. Basically I've been slack and haven't done it... |

Lemonchili_x1, Hey thanks. Keep me on that list. I have a few musical oddities that you might appreciate I'll send in return. One of them is from my good friend Lou Usher. www.loumysticusher.com JB2 |

"The dream is still alive, but you wonder where the years went." Sounds like the anthem to the Bendy And Dirty Motorcycle 2009 Tour. Nice Riff. |

Cool. There's more tunes on the way soon, and I think I'll be looking into doing a run of cd's, a sort of demo EP, to send out. Stay tuned "I have a few musical oddities that you might appreciate I'll send in return." That would be very cool. Lou Usher looks very interesting Hehehe Glad you like it Cityxslicker! |

Lemon.. So I am sitting here on a Friday nite and I hit your MySpace page. The music started and my wife asked, what's that? I said, that one of the BadWeb guys from Australia. After some listening, she said "He should have an album out!" Anywho... greetings from LA and keep up the good work! |

And these are just the type of positive comments to inspire him to get it done. Progress is picking up every day toward promo stuff and a demo disc/ep. Thanks all for the feedback... V |

Thank you! I think each new tune is better as I learn more about recording, and my singing is getting more confident too. I put an ad online for a drummer and guitarist, it'll be printed in the local music newspaper next week. Things are moving forward |
